5Q76 stalled at Maindee West Junction just outside Newport station. Reason unclear. last report on RTT was four early. Currently 125 late and counting.

I feel sorry for anyone who went to spot it passing through Newport station. Now moving 180 late
No /9's have regen enabled. A trial was done for a while but isolated again. The system is too time-consuming to recommission and some parts are obsolete if they need replacing.Do any of the /9s regen breaking enabled?
There's a 5Q48 working from Ely Mif tomorrow 20/5 to the Mid Norfolk Railway - anyone know what this might be? Networkers?
I assume it’s taking a unit to the MNR, particularly as it’s a ‘5’ headcode which doesn’t fit with a light loco. That explains 5Q48 but why would a ROG 37 need to overnight at Ely en-route from Derby to MNR? Is it collecting something else from Ely?
I think the Bakerloo line stock replacement would be first priority over any line extension, and certainly a higher priority than any extension beyond Lewisham, even where a new fleet is delayed for whatever reason.I guarantee that 465s (but maybe not 466s) will be still be about in 2035. It will be like the situation with the Bakerloo Line's 1972 stock, which funnily enough is what the 465s might be replaced by if TfL ever gets their plans to go on the Hayes line through. (its been nearly 20 years!)
I'm sure the Bromley North line will have them trudging along to Grove Park every week in 2035.I think the Bakerloo line stock replacement would be first priority over any line extension, and certainly a higher priority than any extension beyond Lewisham, even where a new fleet is delayed for whatever reason.
Some 465s still being in service in 2035 maybe pushing it if a tender is approved this year, though 2030 is much more likely to still see them.
They were next to each other on the production line, and now 465238 and 239 are together on the journey to the scrap line.Tomorrow's drag is now in RTT. What's interesting about it is that, while the route is the same as recent ones, its headcode is 7Q76, not 5Q76, so is pathed to take longer and run slower (it appears to arrive at Newport around 3 hours later). This suggests the unit(s) being dragged have issues that restrict its running:

That means no more 465/2's left at Ely. It will be interesting to see if the remaining 466s and 465/9s will follow? They were next to each other on the production line, and now 465238 and 239 are together on the journey to the scrap line.
I wonder why the 465/2 are getting the scrap first, and the 465/9s are starting to get stored? (aside from 465908 for a while I presume) Are the Metro-Cammell units worse for wear compared to the British Rail and ABB 465s?That means no more 465/2's left at Ely. Reliability was probably a factor with the 2s, but I strongly suspect the main reason is that the same leasing company is involved in both the 707s and MetCam Networkers (Angel Trains), therefore handling them all is relatively simple.I wonder why the 465/2 are getting the scrap first, and the 465/9s are starting to get stored? 465235 was scrapped too!In the latest NREA Spotters Companion the 465/2s are still listed as being in existence albeit I think most, if not all, of these have now gone for scrap.
Is anyone able to confirm which have gone and when please?

I saw 465237 at Yarmouth on 18 April.
Are those listed as being at Worksop still there?
I assume that pre-dated the latest NREA book given that it wasn’t in the list above.465235 was scrapped too!
465235 was a parts' donor at Doncaster, its scrapping was mainly achieved by removing all the useful parts then towing what was left to Booths by road.I assume that pre-dated the latest NREA book given that it wasn’t in the list above.
Exteriors (actually vinyl) underway now. The interior works are to start at the end of the year.I wonder why the 376s are being painted first before they actually get refurbished? Sorely disappointed to find out they did not have USB ports yet on my commute yesterday.
And yes I know they aren't actually painted but instead wrapped. You all know what I mean by a white and yellow train becoming blue.
Could anyone provide the date(s) when 65734 and 65784 went to Booths, please - many thanks.465235 was a parts' donor at Doncaster, its scrapping was mainly achieved by removing all the useful parts then towing what was left to Booths by road.
It will be a sad day when the Southeastern fleet is a homogenous blue (apart from one). Although to be fair NSE trains were all the same livery. Maybe its the fact they had more than one colour on it.Exteriors (actually vinyl) underway now. The interior works are to start at the end of the year.
