They can, but there are not enough 375/3s available to make it happen. You need 2x 3-car units per 10-car formation, and as there are only 10 across Southeastern, the 5 diagrammed Tun Wells' formations would use them all, and even if only one or two diagrams became 10-car 375/3, that still puts a strain given half of them are used on the branch lines, and one or two 11-car formations already exist.

While I agree the order likely won't be large enough that it's needed for extra capacity reasons, operationally SE might want it back in use for convenience. There are 4 other active sidings there, including during the day to allow strengthening/short-forming in relation to peak flows. If it was also reinstated they could hold stock there that doesn't have to be held at Slade Green or Grove Park, which reduces the "queue time" for trains entering/leaving service at the start/end of the day, but I'm not privy to what specifically becomes possible.
This is the drag, interesting this one is going via London, compared to the early 466 drags to Newport going via the Midlands and Caldicot.

Thank you for this. The irony for me today was I was in the Severn Beach area on a work site visit, but couldn't escape to go and watch this pass through, so it slipped by right under my nose. If there's a drag to Newport on Tuesday next week I maybe able to make a dedicated trip to spot that.
