Todays generation of kids are running amok and they seem to have grown up thinking smacking is a form of bodily harm and even the law is on their side.
But when I was a child I was smacked whenever I was naughty was even whipped with a belt or slipper. I was also witness to other children in my class at school being smacked by teachers but I think it worked, I grew up respecting elders, I daren't open my mouth unless I was spoken to and always did as I was told.
So does smacking a child teach them discipline and respect or is it a form of assault?
