Haven't we moved on several posts, from Tixover? Last one, by my reckoning, was @Tetragon213's featuring Welwyn.The name 'Tixover' apparently means 'ridge with young goats'. Gateshead in Tyne and Wear has a name with a near-identical meaning, 'headland of goats' (ad caput caprae in Latin, according to the Venerable St Bede).
