Sorry missed that!! Yeah not many people getting on and off Maxim Park even at peak hours. Some people use it as a pick up point and hop on cars. Would have hoped with 7 services and hour together with Flixbus, some could run as a super express especially at commuting hours, non stop between Glasgow and Edinburgh Maybury. Or some services run through Queensferry Road or Calder Road, instead of all services serving the same areas in Edinburgh.
The stop made a bit more sense before as the time penalty wasn't as much for serving there, but now with the junction being expanded, you are contending with 2 extra roundabouts and a spend around 3 miles less on the motorway which surely must be massively increasing the time penalty to serve here?

Surprised the 090 is still running. I did see a busy 090 a few weekends back funnily enough.
Concessions will keep the 090 to an extent, Was fully booked over Christmas and New Year mostly so it can't be doing too badly, It also had one over on Citylink on Christmas Day by taking NECs and Citylink never, Citylink only started accepting NECs on New Year's Day this year for the first time

I’m not familiar with a lot of the processes surrounding this, but could there be a scenario where Park’s has the 900 fully? I’m not sure if they still do M8’s etc but for them maybe it would make sense to drop those in favour of sole tender of the 900?

Yes, Stagecoach have communicated that to their staff. They are losing money on their ‘Saltire Cross’ Citylink work, so they will no longer run any diagrams on that work from Easter. Their work on the 900 will continue.

Makes me wonder if the rumours are true what will happen to Eastfield Road site. West Coast Motors taking this over. Sell it for houses. A bothy somewhere around Dumfries Whitesands. Who would have thought 12 months ago no stagecoach presence in Dumfries.

Yes I thought so, thanks for confirming. Isn't Dumfries depot still being used to stable 2 or 3 buses overnight for the X74, so they would need to find somewhere else for them.
