I find the seats a tad firm on the Panoramas. The best vehicles(in my humble opinion, others are available ) were the previous batch of Irizar i6's WCM had for the AIR route before getting Panoramas, just wish Irizar still offered the wide entrance, would be much better at stops such as Buchanan Bus Station.

I found no difference between the panoramas and the 9700DD's on the inside, but the 9700's have a better look in my opinion from the outside across the 3 liveries in Scotland (Citylink, Megabus, Stagecoach).

9700s have terrible leg room

One thing with the 9700DDs is that the front staircase is not ideal for ascending, as to use it you have to turn back to the queue of folk getting on so it's easier to use the rear stair. Knowing about the rear stair helps, but I imagine it can be slightly awkward for folk who don't know about the rear stair.

the 9700DDs actually offer wireless charging which can make a big difference when you have no cable with you, I do agree though that the seats are quite hard.

I guess you have to have a certain phone to do wireless charging. I have never got it to work on my phone.

9700DDs don't have wireless charging the Panoramas did except the West Coast Motors batch where it was only offered at the small tables on the bottom deck, USB A and Type C charging on the Volvo 9700DDs only

Probably into Park's private hire fleet and WCM's Mull/Western island operations. Stagecoach's I'm not sure, they would be much appreciated down here in SW England on the Falcon for a capacity boost, that's for certain!

The Park's Panorama will go to Volvo in PX for the new coaches. Just like the previous nine have.

From 24th January, the 900, 902 & AIR timetables are improving for easier connections and more convenient travel for passengers!

The 900 will also be running up to every 12 minutes during peak times with separate timetables Monday to Friday, and during the weekends for increased reliability.

I don't know who wrote that but it only going to every 12mins from 09.30am from Glasgow and 11.30am from Edinburgh.

The 902 has a small cut, they would be better off putting on a journey to arr into Edinburgh Airport for 4am. I would love to know how many people from Salsburgh are using the service, I doubt McNairn 202 will last much longer at this rate.

Mostly the last journeys at night they always fiddle about with, The 900 will be every 12 minutes the majority of the day, from 9ish in the morning right up until the back of 5 in the evening

An every 12 minutes service with the route splitting 3:2 between Ballieston and Eurocentral isn’t ideal.

With an AIR and a 902 each way through Baillieston too, giving 5 buses an hour!
The two AIRs to Eurocentral with the x2 900s giving 4 buses an hour there too.

Suppose the logic is that each will have 4 an hour when combined (AIR/900), but the timetable certainly won’t look that way!

It’s a shame the late evening and overnight 900’s that serve Deer Park don’t serve Heartlands in Whitburn though. Do think there’s a gap there that could be used.

The original plan was for a new park n ride to be built at the Heartlands with the 900 serving this new location, However its never happened. Saying that they might not be any room for the passengers.

I see cars parked around Heartlands , I guess there are using the 902. Also at Maxim for the Air.

I enjoy using these buses. I sometimes nip up to Pitlochry from Buchanan St Bus Station in the summer. The bus drops you off right at the Fisher's Hotel. The only criticism I have is that the stairs to the upper-deck are very steep for my old legs. I prefer the top deck for viewing.

The data all had end dates in the past so Bustimes doesn't show them.

BODS have been informed (who are the intermediatry between Citylink data and it being shown on Bustimes). There has been an ongoing saga for a long time with Citylink data being a mess as the staff in Citylink towers haven't got a clue what they are doing and make regular messes of the data.


Below is a table of the data that Scottish Citylink has sent to Bus Open Data (if you download the coach data on BODS and this is an filtered version of the 'TXCInventory' spreadsheet). As you can see the end dates (as well as the awfully laid out route descriptions which are an almighty mess for no logical reason but they refuse to fix it. Citylink knows best, all bow down to their superiority).

I've never seen them track on the map.

They don't track because there is no legal obligation for them to send data to bus open data or any similar platform and they don't seem to have any open data or api for their website/app tracking which sites such as bustimes can use. Some data used to get through for Citylink because of Stagecoach open data which used to be much more open than it is now and that was all when they were under the Vix machines, not Transmach.

This may all change if/when Scotlands version of bus open data comes to fruition.

Noticed no one has mentioned it on this thread - the 900 has increased it's frequency to up to every 12 minutes. Very positive move and wondering what's the impact on the Flixbus 090.

Would've loved to see some of the additional runs go direct to Edinburgh without Ballieston/Maxim Park.

See 8th January. What’s the allure with Maxim Park I wonder? Are they paying for this detour? Of my last 8 trips at various times, we dropped off 2 and collected 1. It seems such an odd deviation for such little custom.
