If I can offer any advice to people still in the process, it's be patient.

I have had a whirlwind through the process over the last couple of months, all after applying in March of 2024 like many of us did.

I'd also advise against constantly emailing the recruitment team. They are busy and trying to work thorugh the process as quick as they can, but they suffer from all the usual issues any company faces in terms of illness, holidays etc.
Plus, they know the process has to improve and I believe they will be introducing this over the next few months.
But for those of us not fortunate to be in the process at that point, some old fashioned patience is the best course.

Congrats! My MMI is looming. I understand the questions follow a similar pattern/content, but can't for the life of me find them on the forum. Any chance you could DM me or point me at an approximate list? TIA.
Sorry mate just seen this post I was on holiday.

If it’s not too late I hope you have seen the messages below for any hints/tips. When is your test date?

I am yet to hear back to see if I met the standard for my MMI, so no date for the DMI although I did do a depot visit in preparation for my DMI which was very insightful
Today I received an email today to say that I had met the standard. DMI next.

Good evening, first time coming across this forum. I was looking for some advice on what next steps are going to be?

I have passed atrium court assessments and have since had an interview with managers in Glasgow central which I was informed has been successful.

Is there more interviews to be done and if so can you please explain what to expect. Thanks in advance of any reply

Hi, I have had all my right to work documents requested but no start date, has anyone experienced this? Just wondering if they’ve missed an email at all
I also had my right to work documents requested with no start date yet. I think we will get a start date once our checks are complete. Have you emailed them to ask?

14/05/24:
"You've been successful in your application, we'll be in touch shortly."

I heard nothing til December, then March, then finally in mid-July got an invite to Assessment 1, which I sat last week

Today:
"You've been successful at Assessment 1, we'll be in touch shortly."

Hopefully this shortly is more shortly than the last shortly…

It's been slow, but at least it's progress!

I was in a similar situation, I am now to complete my DMI without a date. You will find it picks up quicker now that you’ve passed the first assessment centre.

Good afternoon, first time to posting in this forum which is very insightful, I am super grateful for all the advice received so far from reading everyone’s comments. Just to summarise what I have been reading and looking for a small bit of further help; I have recently had a DMI which I received an email back saying it was successful, I have then received an email for test centre day 2 which I believe in the same day you have an MMI which it doesn’t specify in the email. I’m wondering how everyone found the assessment day 2 tests and how the MMI differs from DMI? Any advice/support would be very appreciated. I am starting to feel a bit nervous about this as it has been such a long process and I wouldn’t want to fall at the final hurdles.

Looking for some information. I have passed all assessments with avanti and the process was slightly different.

Now myself and husband are both going for scotrail - Glasgow depot i am awaiting an interview due to test still being in date.

My husband has successfully completed him first set of online test and DMI interview and now being invited to attend for computerised test & SJT. No mention of MMI?

How long after this are people waiting for MMI interview & if successful how long for medical.

He works away so trying to gage leave for being home for assesments/interviews/medical?

Thanks

I’ve now passed both assessments and MMI. Just awaiting a DMI date. For those going for the 2nd assessment you will get a separate date for your MMI. Mines was 8 days after my assessments if that helps.

Just bear in mind for yourself that Avanti use the CBI interview. If you’ve passed this with Avanti already then any MMI attempt (pass or fail) at ScotRail will overwrite the CBI pass you have and by default will leave you with incomplete “passes” to progress at Avanti. Quite a lot of advice on these forums in that regard as it’s a common issue. I understand you can only hold a MMI or CBI pass, not both.

In the nicest way I’m glad someone is in the same position, I emailed but they didn’t come back to me, I don’t want to sent them loads of emails I’m hoping maybe next week they will say, fingers crossed it will be around Jan for us, what depot are you?

Apologies if this has already been asked but has there been any news of when the next recruitment drive would be for trainee drivers?

Anyone get the email to pick a date and time for the second assessment day last Friday? (19th September)

I picked a date and it took me to a new page with a message saying i would receive a confirmation email, still not received that second email though.

I've created a simple practice test for the ATAVT - Part of Stage 2 Assessment.
If there’s any interest I’ll add more photos, so let me know what you think!

Wow thats really helpful!

Can anyone who has sat it remember if its more UK type pictures of streets/traffic or is it pictures taken from worldwide? Not that it matters THAT much but I feel more attuned UK streets and find them easier since I see them everyday

Yeah, it was mainly UK streets if I remember correctly.. But to be honest the image flashes so quickly, it's hard to even notice.

Jack there is a mock test in this forum that’s great likeness to one of the tests. The joysticks is hard to replicate. The booklet they provide gives you examples of practice that help.

I’m also Motherwell, I know of someone being offered a November place so I just assumed they didn’t have anymore slots until the next course but you never know, I’m still just waiting for my background checks to go through

Myself and 2 others passed the computer tests.
We are also for Motherwell, but still waiting for a medical and background checks.
Looks like there are large queues for the Motherwell Depot.
The Assessment Centre Manager did tell me there was a backlog and I could be waiting well in to the new year.
