Depends on which one - last year the first train started on September 10th and the last on October 13th!


If you specifically mean the three York based trains, last year they started on October 1st/2nd.

Not to be difficult when they need to. There isn't a fixed date. It depends on all kinds of things like weather, wind, leaf behaviour etc etc

The Margam (now Port Talbot Up Sidings) RHTT loop started on the 21st of September last year, considering that's today - obviously proving your comment. It's all different each year. I haven't noticed too much leaf fall down here just yet.

0Z12 reportedly ran as 66846 and 56051 so them two will most likely work the shakedown, meanwhile 37419 and 66849 have gone to Leeds Balm and 0Z55 is booked from Barrow Hill to Carstairs tomorrow.

424 was serviceable when HNRC bought it but it had traction motor issues, its been moved from Barrow Hill to Worksop and back since and from what i have heard its serviceable now, just have to wait and see what happens with that one.

meanwhile 37405 and 37425 are on 3S93 tonight, 56051 has left York and gone to Doncaster and is most likely off back to Rectory tomorrow on 0F55 while 66846 has remained at York, 66849 is now at Doncaster after coming from Leeds Balm, as for 56105, i think its at Doncaster Works after running on 0Z77 on Monday, not sure why though.
