does anyone know if anymore 15os are still around
i travelled up to the midlands for years on 150s and they were a way of life. now i have moved here i dont get to use the trains as much now
Got a unexpected surprise last night (9th Jan) waiting for the 18.00 Moor street - Leamington Spa and 150105 rolls in! Just like old times and totally wedged as well!![]()
this is true, but there 25 years old and like most i went on between stourbridge and birmingham they were tatty and looked really for the scrappy
a lick of paint and a nice spruce up inside would make them a million dollars and how they should look like
That is because they were originally intending to be rid of the 150s much sooner, but that didn't happen.they didnt exactly seem to spend much on them while in service most of them were worn out and had mix matched colours
i see most taken up north have just had the train names taken off and the original colours kept instead of new paint haha![]()
150117 looks brand new in the Northern livery. Just search flickr under recent and they've even fitted new seats.
what is the depot near tysley i went past today and im sure there was another train in there but found it hard to see
150001 has been there for a while, 150002 ran there from Reading today. They aren't actually being painted at Barton Hill, just refurbished. The repaint is being done at St.Phillips Marsh along with GSMR fitting.
