That as yet is undecided whether they get a refurb. I think it all is dependant on whether the 172 add-on order happens.

LM only have three units. One on the Bedford-Bletchley service, one on a Hereford diagram, (details in post 153 above), and one undergoing maintenance (or spare).

The rest have all been cascaded away to Northern or FGW.

Hi gazzaB24

I saw what I thought was a 150 on that yesterday too at Stourbridge Junction at 17:26 (said 18:00 ex Moor Street) but wasn't sure. Thanks for confirming that that trip was a 150.

As yet we don't know.

It all depends how long LM are intending to keep the three remaining 150s.

they didnt exactly seem to spend much on them while in service most of them were worn out and had mix matched colours

i see most taken up north have just had the train names taken off and the original colours kept instead of new paint haha

this is true, but there 25 years old and like most i went on between stourbridge and birmingham they were tatty and looked really for the scrappy

a lick of paint and a nice spruce up inside would make them a million dollars and how they should look like

They'll be repainted in time. As Nym said, I'd much rather have them in service than sat waiting to be painted - Northern need all the stock they can get!

That is because they were originally intending to be rid of the 150s much sooner, but that didn't happen.

Went on 150105 today from Worcester which was nice.

150117 looks brand new in the Northern livery. Just search flickr under recent and they've even fitted new seats. Is 150126 still in Barton Hill, as it has take ages to be refurbed now.

150126 reported back in traffic yesterday. It had been at St.Phillips Marsh for a while anyway. Reported that it was somewhat of a trail unit and it's extended period at St.Phillips Marsh may have been deciding upon the extent of the work required to the other units. Bear in mind that the units are also being repainted at St.Phillips Marsh rather than Barton Hill which will necessitate a longer stay there.

Again on 150105 today. But when got off at Droitwich Spa, the driver was on the phone at the signal; then as I passed under the railway two minutes later the snow hill line had been cleared (it was a new St service) — apparently the line between Droitwich Spa and Bromsgrove is closed for some reason and all BHM-HFD services no longer call at UNI or Bromsgrove, and are being routed via Kiddy.

Noo! They've not ripped out the Ashbourne seats have they? Are you sure it's not just new seat covers?

They might have ripped out the old, don't know. The shape of the new seats look abit wider.

150001 has been there for a while, 150002 ran there from Reading today. They aren't actually being painted at Barton Hill, just refurbished. The repaint is being done at St.Phillips Marsh along with GSMR fitting.

A few questions:
*What is GMSR?
*Are they being fitted with first class?
*Do guards have to sign 150/0's seperately as they have the cab from a /1 & the doors from a /2?
