I heard on the news that there's going to be a general selection.

Will Jeremy Corbyn be able to get any seats in it?

We saw some people stealing a seat yesterday from a friends furniture making place near where we live. It was about 1130pm, I drove past and realised what they were up to so I turned around and tried to block them from going up the road but couldn't.
Three blokes with woolly hats on, two in the front and one crouching in the back holding onto the bench for dear life as they couldn't get the back door of their Zafira shut.
I could see the fear in the drivers eyes.
Mrs C got the number plate which was good, I turned around again and chased them up the road but there was no sign of them and I was in the van so not much chance of catching a fast moving car up really.
Apparently I might have to make a statement.
Crime of the century it wasn't.

That reminds me actually, I still have a Cadbury Selection Box I was given for Christmas.

I think it's got something to do with shopping. There's all different colours.
There's the yellows they must be bananas.
The reds, ketchup?
The blues, I'm not sure.
The greens, well they must be veg.

It's all very confusing.

Today as I was walking past the local graveyard (just window shopping) I was followed by a robin. Does anyone know why it would do that?

It's obviously a place you go often but how do you know he was called Robin?

I just Googled it and a couple of things said that it was someone trying to say hello from heaven.

Of course there may be a more scientific reason...

...but after the election announcement, maybe it was trying to canvas you on behalf of the Lib-bird Democrats?

*gets coat*

Thinking about it they're very friendly little birds. If I'm working outside in winter I've often had a robin watching me and staying generally nearby while I work. I've always assumed that they'd been hoping for a bit of food perhaps, but they're certainly quite happy to be around humans.

They're just hoping you'll drop dead so they can feast on your eyeballs. That's why they're called robins it's short for robbing bastered*

*Sorry, if I spell it correctly it gets censored, I've no idea why. Other interesting birds are:

Tit (Cyanistes caeruleus)
Shag (Phalacrocorax aristotelis)
Booby (Sula sula)
Blackcock (Tetrao tetrix)

I think I remember us having this conversation before. Didn't you have a picture that showed tits like coconuts? I'd like to see them again.
I'm pretty sure I've got an ass like melons (photo) on my phone somewhere.

What was wrong? It reminded me of the short story "Monkey and Pru and Sal" by Keith Roberts

It was also a bit like the scene in Life of Brian when everyone starts following him thinking he's the messiah...

I got told by my other half not to post a picture of a wheelbarrow full of orangutans because it's a sad story and I shouldn't use it for a cheap joke.
I saw the error of my ways and I'd like to think that I've matured a bit in the last twenty minutes or so and maybe learnt something too.

So here's a baby otter in a hat and false glasses instead.
If you need something stronger let me know.

Our local woodpigeons are looking rather plump these days. Every time I watch an episode of Masterchef, I'm very tempted.

How would you eat one of them?
Blanched on a bed of rocket, with taragon jus maybe?

Ah, now. There's something I've always wondered - how does one pronounce rocket? Like pocket, or croquette?

I'm not sure if I'd make a jus - what's wrong wi' gravy?

QUESTION: Which species of bird has the name 'Puffinus puffinus'?

ANSWER: The Manx Shearwater. It's not even an alcid.
