Sadly not.Hastings Unit?
Correct. I won’t spin this out by asking for the number. It was 150927 on a BLS tour on 14/5/14.150?
Is that now 150 127 or 150 227?Correct. I won’t spin this out by asking for the number. It was 150927 on a BLS tour on 14/5/14.
Over to you…..
150127Is that now 150 127 or 150 227?
Thanks.150127
Correct (as, of course, is St Erth). Your go.Chester-le-Street
Indusi is a German form of train protection - a bit like AWS/TPWS but I can't remember the details. I think Newcastle Metro is fitted with it.
You may be thinking of Coppermill Junction, where the 1872 GER line to Liverpool Street via Hackney Downs diverges from the original (1840) Northern & Eastern Railway main line via Stratford - so not that one. But you are on the right route. It rings a bell - is it between Hackney Downs and Tottenham Hale?
You are getting extremely warm = but those are (rather boringly) Stansted South Junction and Stansted North Junction (and the third point of the triangle is Stansted East Junction). The junction(s) off of the West Anglia Main Line for Stansted Airport?
That's so near I will give it to you. In fact the double track extends round the south to east chord as far as the 1900 yard single track runnel under the airport runway. The tunnel is Coopers Lane Tunnel and Coopers Lane Junction is at the far end, where the track is doubled again on approach to the airport terminus. It seems to be forgotten in statistics on the internet - Wikipedia doesn't include it in the list of UK railway tunnels at all. It's a bored single track tunnel on a curved alignment with (of course) no vent shafts. Just as well it didn't exist in the steam age!At an end of a single-track section leading to Stansted Airport, off of the West Anglia Main Line?
