How about: the two chief stations on the Shropshire & Montgomeryshire Light's Criggion branch -- Melverley, and the terminus Criggion.
If one was in the market only for proper cross-platform changes -- with foot / cab between Shrewsbury (main line), and S & M (Abbey) stations, not to be considered -- then, changes of train at Shrewsbury (main line); Meole Brace / Hookagate; and Kinnerley Junction.
Or a four-changes option: Gobowen; Oswestry; Llanymynech; and Kinnerley Junction?
(Editing) -- Further thought just had: Cambrian Coast Express or its forerunner, London -- Welshpool; change at Weshpool; then at Llanymynech, and Kinnerley Jun.

Presteign (serving Presteigne in Radnorshire, Powys), and Forge Crossing Halt (the only intermediate station between Presteign and Titley Junction, and situated in Herefordshire, England), were only ever served by trains that terminated at Titley Junction or New Radnor. Both of these stations were a change away from Leominster, which itself has never had any direct services to or from London. The floor is yours, my friend (neu fy ffrind).

That is indeed the answer. Authorised in 1830 and 1831 respectively, they were merged by act of Parliament in 1834.
The Warrington and Newton, founded in 1829, merged with the Grand Junction a year later in 1835.

Well, I am guessing 1 must be Swindon as it's 25 years since that was closed and that caused a row as it was the 150th anniversary year when that happened.
