The art is answering the questions you want to.
...a lot more? When its not ridiculous in the first place, a lot more...
He doesn't have to propose a solution, maybe there isn't one, he's just commenting on one that he thinks is wrong.Yes - but i've asked Yorkie a question... Twice now... And he refuses to answer, but expects everyone to give their opinions on something. When I ask for his opinion - I get zilch!! Nada!! Nothing!!
...a lot more?
Please don't say that you think the fact someone was travelling to Berlin by train instead of air is reason to be stopped?![]()
Ah okay, in your opinion of course.![]()

Surely everybody's views are just the persons opinion
Maybe he's just worried what they would find on him if they did randomly search him =P
Maybe he's worried that he could be detained for 9 hours for carrying some completely innocent items.
I hardly regard this forum as a hub of intelligent opinion though 8).Which other people share of course.
I guess the main thing is that its happening![]()
That's rich coming from you of all people, you consistently ignore questions, have not provided any factual evidence yourself and have made several statements that simply don't make any sense, confusing random searches with searches conducted on people under suspicion. It's also ridiculous a question not being answered... When you answer questions for the same person time and time again to argue back at him!!
You, too, have avoided awkward questions. He replied to various posts after the question was posed by 6rdfar90. Or is time travel the new way to stop crime ?
What is happening? A lot of things are happening, that doesn't make them right.I guess the main thing is that its happening

What do you mean by "the method used"? Are you saying only one method is used? I do not like random stop and searches that are conducted purely at random with no actual grounds and the statistics prove that they are ineffective. Several of us have already stated that the police time could be better used doing other things, and Beaker even provided evidence that searching people in high-crime areas yields far better results. As for how to combat terrorism, it is obvious that police should act on intelligence, as they currently do. Random stop and searches did not prevent the terrorist attacks in 2005, and they were not randomly stopped and searched. Perhaps if less police time had been wasted harrassing innocent people randomly and instead more effort was put into getting intelligence on real terrorists they would have stopped them?Yorkie - my question still stands.
What is happening? A lot of things are happening, that doesn't make them right.
What an odd question. Are you suggesting that something that you don't worry about every day is not an issue? There are many things worth worrying about that one would hardly think about every day.So everday since the act came in, you're always worried about being detained for 9hrs?
So - your telling me. That to arrest someone on suspicion of terrorism, you would rather they have Full Blown proof that they are a terrorist, or they are about to mug someone, before the police do anything??
I'm sure Yorkie or I will not just 'get over it' because it's something we strongly believe in and we're not happy to accept that hundreds of years of freedoms are being eroded.Stop and Search is happening if you like it or not. Some may say, 'get over it'
Is that aimed at Craig or me? Neither of us has said such a thing, and this is the first time arrests have been mentioned since page 6, and we are now on page 10, so I don't know where you are getting it from. You have not provided a quote so I can't see what you are responding to. Have you made it up by any chance? So - your telling me. Some evidence/intelligence would be nice rather than stopping people just of the off chance that they might be a terrorist.

Just because something is happening doesn't mean debate should stop about it.
Exactly. There are many unjust things "happening" in the world today. If Loader things it is such a small deal, why is he posting so much on the subject? The answer is obvious: he feels strongly in favour over it. So he should accept that some of us feel strongly opposed to it.Just because something is happening doesn't mean debate should stop about it.
As for mugging, what's that got to do with terrorism?

Based on that - is what I said.
If the police don't have enough intelligence then, should they not arrest them or whatever?? Or let them get on with what they want to do because they don't have enough evidence/intelligence??
And muggings have to do with the whole thing as well, because - it doesn't just happen at stations and things. It happens in city centres, shopping centres as well.

Mugging causes terror throughout society does it not.
I was saying life isn't fair in the context of you saying that if a company fails they should be compensated by the government.Life isn't fair like you kept telling me last night. You can be unhappy all you like. Fact is its happening and there isn't much you can do about it.
Yorkie doesn't deny this, in fact I think he supports stop and searches in high-crime areas so you're arguing against with something he actually supports...Exactly - and the stop searches pointed out by Beaker in that article you liked so much Yorkie - may have stopped potential muggings or stabbings

That has to go down as one of the daftest posts I've read.Yes but we all know how wrong it can be.
As said before, 20 mins of time is a lot better than being dead. Ask the family of the Brazilian if they would of proffered their son to be stopped and searched instead of shot.
Are you saying muggings should be re-categorised as terrorism?Mugging causes terror throughout society does it not.
