Still no sign of 155346 coming back out to play. It has now been about 15 months since it last worked a passenger train.
I remember seeing up thread somewhere that it's apparently due back in traffic on 14 June. Whether that actually does occur is another matter entirely!

A video showing a 158 being refurbished then finishing with showing off the finished product...a 156.

Do they think their customers are thick?
Short of possibly recognising that one has air conditioning when actually on board, why would most passengers notice the difference? A 156 and a 158 likely look quite similar to the untrained eye: Long carriage, doors near the ends, flat yellow front.

Not a bad effort on the 158, but I still cant get over the awful 'Comic Sans' like typeface and the pointless Northern 'Spots'. How to cheapen yourself within the first 5 minutes.

That 156 hasn't been refurbished though...

If you look on the Twitter link someone asks which are the refurbished trains, and they include the 156s in the list. They seem to be considering them refurbished, even though I think they fall far short of what most people were expecting!

It has been reported on a different thread that 319 367 now in Plain White with Blue doors.

Thanks, I've added this to the list.

I've mentioned before that 150001 and 150002 are staying with GWR

In that case, which two 3 car Class 150s stated in the Northern franchise agreement are heading up north? I thought GWR were keeping all of the 150/2s, so presumably this would include the 150/2 based hybrid sets 150925 and 150926?

Any evidence for that other than a RAIL article which pre-dates the Northern franchise agreement (which states they will transfer when the current GWR franchise ends) or the fact that they are painted in the corporate GWR livery (which the current franchise holder decided on)?

If the next GWR franchise are keeping some of the 150s due to transfer and Northern are getting something better in lieu (like the 156s or 170s being released by Anglia) then I'm not going to complain but I'd be interested to know what the revised plan is.

Not quite - they are keeping all the Porterbrook owned ones, the couple belonging to Angel are due to transfer to Northern along with the 150/0s in 2019. However, the current GWR franchise requirement requires the hybrid sets to be reformed to 2 car sets when the PRM mods are done.

Northern will be creating their own hybrids and I recall reading in the franchise agreement that the 150/2 carriages used as centre cars will all be toilet-less with a driving vehicle in each 3 car set having a toilet - which seems a bit illogical as it means most passengers would have to walk further to get to the toilet.

The position keeps changing. 150925 and 150926 would revert back to 125 and 126 and transfer to Northern. The last I heard is that the centre vehicles from these would be formed up as a 2 Car with one being PRM toilet fitted and would be a 150/2

Do you know which ones? I was thinking 150202 and 150216, but I think the latter is or was part of a three car hybrid set.

202 and 216 are themselves. 150216 had a spell as 916 while 150926 was away at Works going there as a 2 Car.

Yes, personally if that was all that a "refurbishment" delivered, as a TOC I'd be doing my best to keep it quiet, not shout about it from the rooftops.
