They aren't replacing the seats?
When are these due to enter traffic? Still no announcements yet. Bet Northern are itching to get them into use.
My friend who works for Northern tells me that there were four Class 319s on Allerton Depot this morning - 319361/80 in FCC livery and 319362/64 in Northern livery.
How much time is needed to fully change the livery over from FCC to that of Northern Rail?

The start date can't be the 8 February as the Airport station is still closed for platform 4 works.
More likely to be the 9 February and the first train into the reopened station is the 0435 arrival from Lime Street.

The 0338 and I'm lead to believe 1816 services from Liverpool to MIA and matching return workings will still be DMUs due to the work falling on lower link drivers. Couldn't have top link men getting up that early.
IIRC the 03:38 runs non-stop between Liverpool and Manchester and if Chat Moss is closed for overnight engineering works then it runs via Warrington Central instead, so probably easier to leave it booked as a Sprinter than to have to alternative diagrams if the service runs via Warrington Central.
According to RTT its not booked to use the Chat Moss route anyway.

moves did not go ahead.Tuesday 6th January
5Z19 Allerton to Wolverton
5Z20 Wolverton to Allerton
I'd expect 5Z19 to be 319380, as it was previously scheduled to move to Wolverton but cancelled5Z19 should be 319361 and 5Z20 should be 319365 if the moves go ahead.
Furthermore, if anyone wants photos these are scheduled for morning/afternoon unlike the last two moves done in the middle of the night, 5Z20 due to leave at 15:33.
Standard disclaimer applies with regards to whether it will run or not.

Edited to correct the post with respect to 5Z19 to be 361 and not 380, thanks to information from others.
How many units are ready at present to enter traffic? Will all 3 diagrams for Liverpool to Man airport route be switched over to 319 operation on feb 8th?
3 Are ready for Traffic

I heard that the number of 319s Northern will receive has gone up from14 to 20. Is this true?

TPE are now going to sublease some of Northern's 156s: http://www.railforums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=110490
An option under consideration is splitting some or all Liverpool-Blackpool services at Preston from September so that Northern can free up some DMUs for their own benefit. If that goes ahead Northern will need more 319s than originally envisaged.
There are 3 ready for traffic as discussed. However one has to be left spare in case a rescue is needed. So that's only 2 in service per day. However another is due up from Wolverton ready this week.
