My mileage will go a lot higher up when Railmiles comes back. I have 7 trips to do mileage for, although 2 of them are small (Leamington-Moor Street and back with Pen-y-ffordd-Buckley and back).

I'm a long way behind sorting out my mileages, following the recent Metrolink Madness trip. On Day 2 of said trip, I made 26 moves on Metrolink, with at least 20 on Day 1 too. Only just got on with inputting the moves into my RailMiles pages, going to take a while to get the distance converted!

I expect I'll get it all done next weekend, but I'll try to start doing them today! So be warned, if you're just ahead of me in the mileage competition currently that may not be the case for much longer ;)

EDIT: Looking at the mileage table it looks like a lot of people have figures to update, otherwise it looks like I'll be jumping well up the table!

Just done the mileage for one of my recent Metrolink moves, adding a nice 6m20c to my current total. Oh, and bb21, you're being immortalised in my RailMiles page via a note attached to the first of the recent moves. As evidenced below, which also explains my logic with the conversions here:

"Mileage data for ALL Metrolink moves in 2015 and beyond are taken from bb21's excellent distances charts on RailUK Forums. Conversions are from Google.

ALL figures are rounded DOWN, so with this one it would be 501 chains. So there will always be ever-so-slight under-claims with mileages but better than over-claiming!

10 092 metres = 501.670246 chains

501 chains = 6.26 miles, so 6m20c"

EDIT 2: That's Day 1 done, took just about an hour to do. Sadly there's plenty of chores and stuff to do now so the rest will have to wait until either later or the weekend now to get done. Of course the thanks go to bb21 for the mileage charts, and to Google, otherwise I'd have never got the raw data in the first place and I'd be here for ages doing the calculations! Only 26 moves to do the conversions for now at least, and I expect that after the epic London bash in 10 days time I'll be well clear of 3,000 miles :D

Forced myself to get on with those 26 moves from Day 2 of Metrolink Madness, just finished and I've indeed done well on that bash. Approximately 136 miles over the 2 days just on Metrolink trams  Not bad mileage had out of my £12 (£5 off-peak ticket on Day 1, £7 peak ticket on Day 2) there at all, and if I'd been going for the full time on both days that mileage could have been much higher. Quite, if I'd done less insect leaps to score shacks I have no doubt that figure would have been much higher!

Anyway, I digress, that belongs in the trip report thread! So if you read it twice now, I make no apologies!

I currently stand on 2,657 miles for 2015 so far, almost at my target for 2015 so far (1,000 miles per month, if not on average at the end of the year then outright) and I have a massive bash coming to send that figure skyrocketing :D Not to mention the rest of 2015's epic trips, which should see my total for 2015 to the moon :D<D

I currently, at 1930 on 16th March 2015, sit in 6th place on the mileage competition's table, which I am liking. I doubt it will be long before everyone updates their figures and sends me back down the table, so enjoying my Top 10 position while it lasts! :D:lol:

I take it you received my reply to your PM recently too? I won't have any chance to deal with the request until Sunday now at the earliest I'm afraid.

I got caught up in the delays yesterday between Burton on Trent and Birmingham New Street and we got diverted from Burton on Trent to Birmingham New Street via Litchfield Trent Valley High Level. Anyone got this bit of mileage data?

Got 29 trips waiting to be calculated - I'm desperate for RailMiles to come back!

Use Real Time Trains instead.

Just added up mu March mileage - a much more modest 1135, largely down to a VSTP trip to the West Midlands on Tuesday when other plans were cancelled on Monday night accounting for around 350 of those miles.

Now on 2934m 6ch for the year, with a few more big trips planned this year. Aiming to beat the 9500 mark this year.

Unfortunately RTT doesn't always include mileage data for my journeys.

It does for most though. I have noticed that occasionally the mileage info is missing on some services. Most annoying, I have to resort to looking it up in my Trackatlas, working it out from the M&C info in there.

I wouldn't say most - it does for most short distance commuter services, but anything long-distance or cross-country, forget. Almost nothing for VTEC, VTWC or XC will show, or any long distance FGW services. I believe this is simply due to a coding error as you used to put the names RTT used into railmiles and get errors, but if you used the three letter station codes, it worked.

Any idea on the mileage of the Wensleydale Railway?
Mainly Northallerton West to Leeming Bar, leeeming bar to leyburn and leyburn to redmire.
