Appears the following 507s are working on the Southport - Hunts Cross line as follows;
Only 4/9 operationally ready for service is unusual. Guessing the heat must have really affected their availability

Didn’t necessarily mean today. Faults can take time to fix especially if multiple units have suffered. Last week was hot and availability seems to have also dropped in the same period.
They are. I was on diagram 2 at 1613 from Central, a single 507 and it was delayed so got treated to a fast run non stop to Hunt Cross.
I assume you mean the 17.36 and 17.51 departures, neither of which are booked for 507s. The 507 workings closest to this time are at 16.21, 16.36 and 16.51, then the 18.51 and 19.06.
Should still be a 507 until at least the 18th of August. Perhaps it’s been substituted by a 777 just for today ? To be honest if availability isn’t great a 4 car will be better than a 3 from a capacity point of view.
I imagine it's due to lack of availability, the diagrams havnt changed yet as far as I know.

No 003 is attached to 010 and theres another 2 6 car diagrams i believe
I don't have any inside info, but I'd be surprised if there's any withdrawls this week or next, unless there's a major failure. It's the Southport Flower Show next week, so it will be 'all hands to the pump' as it were, to cater for the additional visitors.
