This two platform station has 6 trains an hour in each direction. Trains heading "up" head to either one of two main stations.

It is served by First Great Western.

I'd almost forgotten about this!

None of you are correct, however Class 172 is the closest.

FGW don't serve Angmering.

Hang on - according to both Wiki and National Rail Hove has 3 platforms so it can't be the right answer to a 'two platform station'.

Can we have the 'right' answer please - if there is one.

Oh no.

I must have got my stations wrong again. Let me check...

...It must have been Shoreham. dzug2's floor.

This former Midland Railway station originally had 3 platforms and was a junction

It closed in the 1960s but was reopened in the 1990s on a slightly different site, is no longer a junction and now has 2 platforms. It has a different name, connected with the former branch line.

It has a roughly hourly service in each direction

What are the original and current names?

Great Western/Riviera
2 Through Lines

The only one I can think of is Frome. But the Riviera doesn't go that way all the time and doesn't stop when it does so it shouldn't really count

If I've understood the question properly

One of the stations on the Devon coast, whichever one has the fast lines through it (Dawlish perhaps?).

Frome only has one track ;)

Well Dawlish Warren fits that description - but the Riviera doesn't call there. If it counts XC should as well.

Frome may only have one platform but there's a double track bypass line with no platforms.
