How is HS1 domestic doing

I actually travel on this train a fair bit, its not bad but it doesn't seem to have any imposing impression on you afterwards. Theres nothing really to write home about imo, other than, hopefully I've just been unlucky here aswell but the last three times I've sat at the end of the carriages all I've heard is the squeak of the suspension for an hour!

To be honest, I always get the feeling that the 91 sets or whatever when I go north after the 395s are a bit more of a 'proper' train, for a better word. I think it even seems to feel you are going faster as your're not looking at a blank embankment for 80% of the journey, prolly the rail noise as well.

Oh and by the way, I think the whole 'onboard train manager' thing is just so they don't have to pay the guards commission! Robbing *******s!

But in the absence of having anything new to supply, they could still manipulate prices to adjust demand - and the differential between Classic and HS1 seems such an obvious candidate for adjustment.

Indeed, I suppose if the predictions of the Route Utilisation Strategy come to pass they'll just have to funnel passengers where there's room.
