However I have been informed that Network Rail have opened an investigation into this incident as it was never reported. The first they knew if it was from the clip in YT.
Strange that it was not reported by someone, given that there must've been 50+ people at Thurston station when it happened!

Admittedly, I can see why the NXEA driver might not call it in as it was a miss (No matter how close) and the last thing anyone wants is paperwork. I
am surprised though that NR (Presumably) never received a report from
Oliver Cromwell's driver and fireman! :eek:
I doubt it - I'm still waiting for money out of the Evening Standard from when I was 14, I'm now 17!
Same here, in a way...I once wrote what became the

Talking of imaged links: It only occurred to me about seven hours afterward that the download link I posted was rather long for manual typing out. To solve that problem, I've crafted a short link to the folder and attached that to this post insted.
Ajax103 - The reason Death and Myself provided the URL's as Pictures is to Protect them from those nasty 'Google People' - so therefore preserving the videos life on YT.
There is no need to provide the links as images. Google will only see it as a link to YT.
Google will see an embedded YT video in this thread as a link to that same video...But the scope of Google's analytical capability is far beyond what many would ever expect. Trust me when I say that Google are - Without doubt (In my mind) - The World leaders when it comes to data aggregation and analysis!
What it means for us (And this video) though is that Google will keep track of things by looking at what links to what, and which pages had linked to content since removed. In plain English; If Google (Who own/run YouTube) did remove video A from the YT site and the owner of the video re-uploaded it as B, Google would spot the new links to video B appearing in this thread and assume it was connected with A. As vid A was removed, it would flag vid B for human inspection and removal "if appropriate".

Embedding links in images serves two purposes:
- It removes the plain-text link from a publicly accessible page, making it less likely that third-party search spiders find it and produce more links to that video...Which would otherwise earn the video unwanted attention from Google a lot quicker,

- Although it's possible for computers to read text inside images (Which is why ReCaptcha has been skewing it's output so much lately!) the complex/expensive code and processing overhead means that such a process is unlikely to be used even by the Google spider!
Aside from that, attachments are only visible to registered members anyway...And although Google might have a RailUK account for search purposes (Keep an eye on the active users list: Search engine spiders are given by name) it's unlikely that Google would open and catalogue private attachments...Let alone conduct detailed analysis!
