Congratulations! That's quick if it's only a max of 6 months. I'm in for Parkway and got my stage 1 assessment centre next month. I wonder if they will provide accommodation for training or whether trainees have to commute each day considering it's close to the depot?Hi all,
I've noticed a few Bristol Parkway applicants here, so I thought I'd share my experience. I finished my DMI last month and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I've gone through the whole application process! The questions were quite similar to the MMI, although a lot more casual with general chit-chat.
This week, I was informed that I passed the DMI and should expect to hear back shortly.
There were a lot of applicants, but I was told that at this stage it's a relatively small talent pool. He estimated that the longest wait time in the talent pool would be six months, but he said that's unlikely and the wait could be only a month or two. The training takes place at St Philips Marsh.
Does anyone know if there are expected vacancies at Parkway? Also, are there designated training months (e.g., June or September), or is it dependent on when enough candidates are available to form a training cohort?
Thanks.
During signalling school I found it really helped being away from home and revising etc with my class. Did any of this get explained by any chance?
