My first question is.....why rub out the number? Is someone embarrassed by this loco???

In case someone knows the allocation, only a few stations up this way that a 156 terminates at on a single line.

I had to cover the ticket office there one summer morning in 2007, it's a very quiet place.:D

The tiling on the platform reminds me of Nottingham-Worsksop, but of course that isn't electrified. Looks like Felixstowe stuff, i'll say Ipswich

The heavy catenery wiring certainly suggests East Coast...As Scotsman's already had Grantham, I'm going to take Peterborough. :)
