Hilsea is unstaffed, there is still a ticket office but STAR has never been installed and the booking office is generally used as a store. The building is not open to passengers, but a new bridge (DDA approved) is currently under construction but local media reports suggest the bridge will have no lifts due to financial constraints.

That's great thanks, just one of the many places I had on my list to go and photograph (don't ask why - i like photoing buildings more than trains). When was STAR's installation time (I take it it was open until that point).

I was looking at that thinking it was very like Keighley but then going it can't be because it is electrified. I didn't think of the KWVR platforms.
