Just got my email inviting me for assessment first week in December. Does anyone know what tests they undertake. I'm ideally looking to see if they do the mechanical tests

Well they should still see you have some validity left on some tests, but it's when they plan on starting courses......

No TOC does the mechanical tests anymore AFAIK

Well done, just a couple of questions. When did you submit your application and what was your score if you don't mind me asking.

Des587 if you read page 4 of this thread, Sikes88 has already posted that info.

Sikes88 are you an internal applicant?

Hi everyone, first post on the forum.
Just thought i'd let people know i scored 59 on the test and got this email yesterday :
I write to advise you that the short-listing has now been completed and unfortunately you have not been selected on this occasion.
Now at first i thought that i was too late with application,i saw the advert very late and got my application in at 23.50 on Friday night ( closing date 13/11/15)
But reading the thread now im not sure.

I do currently work for Abellio greater Anglia but I didn't apply internally.
Good luck to everyone still in the process

I had to call their tech guys on 0844 7362 739, had it sorted within 30 mins, now can open the link.

so not only have you had difficulty in opening their application form, you have had to pay additionally, for the cost of their tech guys, to allow you to apply? :-x

Your moaning about the cost of a phone call whilst trying to get a very well paid job, with loads of benefits? Have a think about how ab attitude like that may come across in an interview.

Just to set the record straight I'm not moaning about the cost of a call just passing on some help I had accessing the download link. I had already completed and submitted my app, it was the review link that was down.

Just a heads up I got 68 and got the nod for assessments.
Early December @ Liverpool Street.

Does anyone know the pay structure from trainee to mainline driver for those lucky enough to make it through please ?

Thanks

Don't even know where the vacancies are for yet, considering you have three different areas under three different pay structures then I don't think that's a question that can really be answered accurately at the moment unfortunately.

Liverpool Street for assessments? That is new, usually Stratford!

So now they are processing the 65 - 70s, anyone with 60 - 64? No doubt we'll be left in purgatory!

2 minutes walk from Liverpool St. Station, perhaps switched venues.

The application score is based off your answers to the multiple choice questions. The rest of the application is still important but not scored so that matters too. Don't get hung up on a score as such.

I guess they look at distance from depots. What about the eye surgery question? That was a bit ambiguous - Have you had or do you intend to have laser eye surgery? Is that a deal breaker? If it is, why not say so from the start?
