Good luck!!

I'd imagine a fair few internals will go for this now they've lost their automatic line of promotion...?
Only NRW has 'lost' it's 'grandfather' rights of depot driver to local/mainline link progression..to the best of my knowledge..![]()
sorry, you have already applied to a regulated role within the past 6 months. You can apply again from 13th november 2015.

Ahh, I'd heard it was blanket. Interestingly, would it apply to everyone, or just to those starting after it was brought in? If you had signed a contract saying that "after blah blah service you will be promoted to a mainline link" then surely you'd be able to say I signed the contract on that basis?
Side point - I had a look, out of curiosity, and the depots listed were:
Liv St,
Norwich,
Clacton,
Ilford,
Colchester,
Cambridge,
Bishops Stortford and;
Southend Vic
What sort of routes would these depots sign?
Gtr have a high pass requirement compared to most other toc's so you should be fine with the passes you already have.
I'm interested as to why it matters really. If you are applying for a trainee position you can't really afford to be picky on depots based on what they sign. You can lateral move from one depot to another once qualified and completed 2 years.
Liverpool st has a transfer request list nearly half a page long and some drivers have been waiting years to get to that depot. Clacton, Colchester and Ilford still have loads and loads of depot drivers with the right of promotion.
Don't appreciate the attitude as 1) I'm not actually applying
2) I was only asking a question that gets asked a lot for each position for any TOC that comes up
3) Obviously there aren't enough people who the "right" to a job otherwise it wouldn't be internal
4) I can speak nothing of internal request list I was merely verbatim quoting the list of depots listed on the application form, asking you to select two.
5) The reason it matters is that if you know those things when you interview, surely it stands you in better stead as you know what it is you're going to be doing in the job they're about to invest heavily in you to do?
Trainee Driver (West) is approx £27k, which rises to approx £33.5k upon passing out, which again after a year rises to the full driver's salary of £44k. Plus there is location alowance on West Anglia, depending on whether you are at Liv St, Stortford or Cambridge.
Unsure on what GE and Anglia pay is like, sorry!
From what I gather, there is quite a shortage (or at least they are anticipating a shortage!) of drivers on the West Anglia, what with LOROL, TFLR, GTR and XC all nicking drivers!
At least for the moment GA seem happier recruiting and training new drivers than upping pay to retain those already driving. Good news for anybody wanting to become a driver! Not surprised with CROSSRAIL as the money is the best I've seen for a driver .still it leave the door nice and open for people wanting to get in
