Well now, is that a fact?! That is correct, the actor Patrick Duffy as Bobby Ewing spoke both the first and last words in the original series; "Are you ready?" at the very start of series 1, episode 1 and "Oh my God!" at the very end of series 14, episode 23 ( the 357th and final episode of the run ).

Bobby, giving a teaser about it being a clean show at the start and an eulogy to the wonderfully reinvigorating qualities of a shower at the end.

I'm afraid you were pipped to it by two minutes - but also while you are right that the first words were a teaser for the whole show, he emerged from the shower at the start of series 10, in episode 223, so a long way before the end...

There's reference in some early Dallas episodes ( series 3 I think ) to Knot's Landing being the name of the estate on which Gary Ewing's residence in California was located, but I have no idea how many series it ran for...

You are indeed correct Peter, Knots Landing was a fictitious suburb of Los Angeles.

Just need how long the series ran for.

I remember reading about a place in Ethiopia where the locals hand fed Hyenas, on a flight to Switzerland with Ethiopian Airlines last year.

(In the "hyena city", the hyena-feeding is a tourist attraction -- tourists are encouraged to participate.) The settlement concerned, is Harar (about 500km east of Addis; and not to be confused with Harare, Zimbabwe !)
