I think Betelgeuse was a contender but it's probably been eclipsed (geddit?) by some other star by now.
(I resisted suggesting Gabourey Sidibe)

Traveling at the speed of light around the equator, it would take seven hours to circle once.
Excellent. Now for a nice trivia fact.
Every officer and sailor in the Royal Navy must be assigned to a ship. Most are assigned to either proper ships or stone frigates, but some, like those in Whitehall don't work on a "ship". So where are they assigned?
From the point of view of the object travelling at the speed of light that distance would be covered in no time at all.

Are you acting as HMS Ark Royal's proxy or are you just pining for him?
Davy Jones' Locker?
The Royal Yacht Brittania?
A lot of Royal Navy land bases have HMS in front of the name so I will guess HMS Great Britain.
No, the land bases are all technically commissioned ships (Portsmouth Naval base is technically the ship HMS Nelson) so the people working there are assigned to those "ships"
My last stab in the dark.
Buckingham Palace?
A public apology to TheEdge for the insult in #8832.
Right, brilliant, you win Z$10.
Other guesses are still wrong. The "ship" in question has its own crew as well as its paper crew.
HMS Belfast?
