That's because the 377's are needed to replace the 317's & 321's on the GN and the 387's are needed to start the GW electrification. A few more 319's will go the Northern but most of them don't have a new home yet. It look like they are going to end up on the South Eastern. I'm sure they are looking forward to that.

They won't be though, as the diagrams start dropping from next month and carry on dropping as more new stock comes on board.

GW need their first few 387s within a few months, because the first services to use them (Paddington to Hayes & Harlington) are on a route that is already electrified.

Many members ask this question and it is very unlikely you would get a complete answer. To know what they are, you have to be on the inside to be able to access them. If anybody has access, they have to be careful what they are divulging as a confidentially issue. Somebody usually replies if you were to ask for individual trains, though.
However, XC and GWR HSTs Diagrams are published on the "125 Group" Website if that would be of any assistance to you.

I only asked because I came across on RealTime Trains 2K01 the 0600 Severn Beach - Bristol T.M. This particular service arrives at Bristol T.M on Plat6 and the next service to use Plat6 is a local to Weston-super-Mare and I needed to know if it was the same unit.

Given there is only 7 minutes between 2k01 arrival and 2y04 departure, same platform, there's not really time for this unit to go to depot and another to appear (and indeed why would it so early in the day), so on balance of probability I'd say this will be the same unit.
Note this is an educated guess, I have no professional involvement in the railway industry.

That is correct. The DMU returning from Severn Beach continues to Weston-super-Mare. Not shown as a through train, perhaps, because historically it wasn't so just carried forward.

I can never understand why diagrams are classed as confidential or commercially sensitive as East Coast used to publish them when asked via a Freedom of Information Request. If it was deemed to be commercially sensitive, they would have grounds to refuse to publish them on What do they know. Likewise, surely they wouldn't have allowed 125 Group to publish all the HST diagrams if it was an issue?
