Yes, but some of these are 377s now but they symbols remain.

I want to pic this turn up at BPW at 10:32 and take it all the way to the blocks and really REALLY Dont want 2 odd hours on a Voyager! On another note, Post 15 in the thread for VT workings doesnt appear to be working for me!

The XC HST diagrams are very reliable, as long as you get the days right because they move around a lot :P

Post 15 link is broken, I am endeavouring to get it fixed.

NB: These, along with the 121 and LHCS diagrams, are only confirmed up to Saturday 3rd October at present, due to the opening of the line to Oxford Parkway.

Incidentally, there's a small typo on the Saturday LHCS diagrams. The 1806 ex-Marylebone is 1G62 rather than 1G63.

The XC HST diagrams are very reliable, as long as you get the days right because they move around a lot :P

In that case and for the avoidance of any doubt Im traveling on a Monday, picking up what I understand to be the 06:40x YRK at BPW at 10:32. This is shown as HST Monday and Wednesdays. Correct?

I understand that it's the 10:45 ex Inverness and the 10:35 ex Edinburgh that are used to changeover the 158s working in the Central Belt. Whenever I've seen either of these, they have been 2*158.

I cant speek for the Southbound working but the Northbound is spot-on.
With the acception of the Chieften these are by far the best HML Workings of the day by a long shot and have even seen it make up nearly a quarter of an hours worth of lost time, not something likely to happen on a 170 turn.

Does anyone have a list of the diagrams FGW's pacers operate in Devon? I know they are heavily used around Exeter by FGW and pacers don't always turn up for what they're booked for, but they only have 8 and I'm just curious! Would it be easier to say what on the Devon metro isn't booked for a pacer?

Below is an email I received from VTEC regarding my journey to London KX on Wednesday 1st July.

Your forthcoming journey with Virgin Trains East Coast

We thought it was important to let you know about some changes to the train you are booked to travel on 01/07/2015*.

Instead of one of our usual grey and white liveried trains, you may be travelling on board a train which we’ve hired from East Midlands Trains.

We’ve brought this extra train into service to allow us to start an exciting and much-needed £21m refresh of our current train fleet, without having to reduce services or alter the current timetable.

Therefore, when you arrive at the station please look out for the train which is branded ‘East Midlands Trains’ and is in the blue, red, yellow and white livery, just in case we’re not using one of our familiar grey and white trains for your journey.

If you are travelling in standard, we’d also like to apologise in advance as these coaches don’t have electrical sockets. We realise that this isn’t great so we are looking at how to resolve this. In the meantime, if you’re planning to use your mobile phone, tablet or laptop while travelling, we advise you to charge up beforehand.

The Virgin Trains East Coast team

As it is an unusual route I'm travelling, Edinburgh Waverley dep 09:30 to York, change to 12:03 York to Newark Northgate, change to 13:02 EMT Peterborough via Lincoln Central and Spalding, then on to 15:09 Peterborough to London KX.

I have checked the Real Train Times website for the Intercity legs of the journey, and they all state that it is HST, so am none the wiser as to when the EMT set will appear.

I will be keeping a look out for it, and as I will have my laptop and be making use of the onboard wifi, I will post here which leg of my journey I've landed the EMT set. This can then be used to work out the rest of the EMT set's diagram.

From how I interpret the diagram, I should land it on the final leg at 15:09 from Peterborough to Kings Cross. However, I will still be keeping my eyes peeled in case it strays north of York.

On a final point, it seems that the EMT set will be mainly used for the short runs, maybe to keep the daily mileage similar when used on Midland Railway metals.

If the diagrams Today's Railways provide are correct (I see no reason they wouldn't be), then of the 14 weekday HST diagrams VTEC have, the EMT set one is the only one not to venture north of Doncaster towards / ex- York at any point. Presumably this is to minimise how long punters have to use it for, as like your email says, there's no Standard Class power sockets etc.

Just a small note, and it makes no difference to times nor stopping points as they are just the same, but all the Colchester / Ipswich - Peterboro services that were 1Exx and 1Lxx are now Class 2's
