In the barons book, it has the answer to one of the questions regarding oil and water, oil being lighter and so will go to the top if more water added to the jug, could catch some out imo.

Let's place all the answers here shall we

hmm discussing the content of the test am I the only one finding it a little inappropriate?

Yes I agree, let's keep it fair. Freightliner read these forums and occasionally add a helpful comment, so we don't want to upset them.

I'm in. Fingers crossed I get through. Passed assessments and MMI already. I know I've got one question wrong on application test.(originally got it right but talked myself out of it). Good luck to all.

It's open to applications for quite a long time, you'd think that a couple of weeks would be enough given that those that are looking are checking virtually every day, just increases the amount that they have to check through in my opinion.
I remember some of the Northern Conductor vacancies just before Christmas were only there for a couple of days.

When you say 'I'm in', do you mean that you are in the application process?

My application has a also been submitted. I won't lie, I thought the amplitude test was rather testing. But I'm hoping the fact I already work for freightliner as a shunter at Felixstowe, gives me a good chance.

Hi, this may be a dumb question but what is the ratio of male to female freight drivers? Is it a job a female might stuggle with? (not to discriminate against my own sex but genuinely wondering!)

Wow that test was hard! Hope that isnt a 100% pass requirement.... 2 complete guesses, confident on the rest.
Freightliner though.... very tough in my experience, applied twice never heard anything. Using same application info that go me as far as a passed driver interview with Northern

Given the amount of applicants, I would imagine that the requirement would be very high. Maybe an allowance of 2 wrong answers.

I think I may have fluffed it, when it went active the link didn't work and I copied the link in the text into the address bar as the link didn't work. I managed to input all the relevant details and when it got to the actual test it seemed corrupted, ie the question about the light circuit didn't have any corresponding answers against the ABCD so I just had to guess as the last time Freightliner advertised a graduate scheme it was closed within days. When I completed it said I'd be informed by June 2014. Maybe I'll apply for an IT role next time as even I could sorted out the coding on that.

Give them a call.

I'm not sure how flexible they will be with regard to giving you some other option to apply, as they know there will be hundreds of applicants.

I had the June 2014 thing pop up at me when I finished the test aswell. However I don't think calling will get you anywhere. It does state that they will not entertain email or phone calls about the positions. Secondly it also states that they will only accept online applications....
Looks like we are in the same boat buddy I applied within a few hours of the vacancies going online thinking that it is best to get in while you can. However now I wish I had left it a day because I have a sinking feeling I applied when there where still teething problems with the web page. :|

Maybe not, probably not. But it's a case of do something or do nothing.

I'd do something.

Morning guys

New to the forum - I applied for the Freightliner trainee driver a few days ago, the message for me on completing the application was that they would be in contact early May 2015 - just noting the various different dates given.

Obviously I have no idea how they select candidates, but the very fact they included the test in the application process would suggest to me that it will be used as the initial sift - with a rumored 700 applicants for every position it would make sense.

There is no 'pass mark' with an aptitude test - the results are based on everybody else's, so if everybody got 1 wrong then that will still be a pass, but if enough applicants got 100% than I would have thought that even applicants with just 1 wrong will be sifted straightaway - but could be referred back to if all the 100% scorers prove to be not suitable.

This is only based on my experience as GM and using tests to recruit (unrelated field)

Good luck to everybody

Hi all I have completed my application over the weekend just gone, but have not had a confirmation e-mail to state that the application went through, although It did say after I completed it application successfully sent.
Does anyone know if an E-mail will be sent or is just a case of wait and see.

Cheers
