The W12 also looked a handful and it won the constructors and almost the drivers.Though the pundits do seem to reckon that the Mercedes is looking a handful whereas fast cars normally look smooth.

It means nothing, especially in testing. Some say it’s because George was announced for this year first.Out of interest, and not that it really makes any difference, but does anyone know why Lewis has the Yellow T-cam this year?
BREAKING: Sebastian Vettel is out of the Bahrain Grand Prix after testing positive for COVID.
Nico Hulkenberg will replace him this weekend
He's spent too much time with Danny Ric!Seb has tested positive for covid and will be replaced by Hulkenberg.
As much as I hate to believe it, I think Verstappen might have the edge.Ferraris showing the way in practice
That’s great. The only better news I could see coming is Hulkenberg getting a permanent seat. Can't call this season at all.
But Lance Stroll won't get dropped as his dad owns the team. Its a real shame Hulkenberg doesn't have a seat as he really deserves one, but Lance isn't going anywhere anytime soon. That’s great. The only better news I could see coming is Hulkenberg getting a permanent seat.
The speculation is that the new E10 fuel is really not working well with the Merc engine.Mercedes really do not look good.
Indeed, it was a rather good race, especially with some (non controversial this time) drama. Red bull have failed at that whole to finish first, first you must finish thing. All 3 of the retirements were "HRC" (should really be called WNHH - We're Not Honda, Honest!) powered cars, so that's not looking good. Ferrari are definitely looking favourites, with Mercedes a distant third. Like has been predicted, the nopods work well in corners but not elsewhere. McLaren have dropped the ball with these regulation changes. Other than that, an excellent return for KMag.Even ignoring the last lap controversy from 2021 - I'd say that was a better race than Abu Dhabi!
As a lifelong Macca fan, my hope is that they are only held back in pace due to the brake problems.McLaren have dropped the ball with these regulation changes.
red bull are a struggle to like. Something about them ever since their domination of the early 2010's has just felt off, almost like they're overly arrogant. And that's excluding how they've publicly treated several drivers over the years.RB, on the other hand. I find myself disliking the attitude of their key figures more and more.
I can't say I feel sorry for them. I feel bad for Checo missing out on a podium though.I would say: "Mr Horner... that's called karma!"![]()
Its quite funny watching Bottas outqualify Russel.
That's true. Like George made a mistake in quali, Valtteri made a mistake in the race.Didn't finish in front of him though.
My disdain is worse than it was ten years ago, perhaps Webber was providing some level-headedness.red bull are a struggle to like. It does seem that the new design does allow closer racing than the previous generation.I enjoyed the race, it was great to see Leclerc and Verstappen race so closely.
