Is Nuno not part of the problem here? He walked out of the Wolves job citing differences with the board, then of course he was fired at Tottenham but better managers than him have gone the same way at WHL and continued winning stuff at other clubs.

He didn’t walk out on Wolves. Had he not left by ‘mutual consent’ he’d have been fired.

Very much so, his relationship with Edu in particular was poor & deteriorated quickly after his introduction. This then invoked tensions with the owner & this is the end result

The new manager is Ange Postecoglu

I couldn't believe what I was watching attacking with pace, using the full width of the pitch, players making runs off the ball pulling opponents out of position and scoring goals.

It’s qualifying. England have lost only four World Cup qualifiers in thirty years.
Though it is a pleasant surprise that they actually managed to produce a performance rather than struggling their way through.

Someone said the top 16 should qualify automatically which would do away with these meaningless games that can cause injuries to players going for the title and stop these international breaks. They have already made the top teams not draw each other in the league cup. They could in place of the international break have champions league and Eurpoa instead.

A week is a long time in football. Despite this FA Cup win, Hyde United's manager Nick Spooner abruptly departed the Club on Sunday. Senior player Jack Redshaw was one of a trio then asked to take charge on Tuesday evening, but unfortunately for the Tigers, they then down to a 1-2 home defeat against Leek Town. The temporary Ewen Fields management team have a chance to redeem themselves when Hyde United host Whitby Town in the second round of the FA Cup qualifying competition on Saturday.

You'd think so if you consider ranking but when Bolivia or Ecuador play at home they've always produced quirky results due to the stadium elevation above sea level.

This game had everything on the club's community day [1]. Dan Bradshaw's header was the difference at half time before Callum Buckley volleyed home from 25 yards to surely claim goal of the season. Jez Bedford was sent off for needlessly pushing the opposition physio in a fracas (which also saw the visiting manager sent off from the bench) before Olly Balmer came on as a substitute and made it three on the rebound before beating three players to make it four - and there was still time for the Portishead striker to be sent off for hacking down a defender.

A good and comfortable win for the JTs yesterday, finally breaking our recent old firm hoodoo with a win that showed the value of having a proper football manager.

McInnes set up the team perfectly against a team low on confidence and with a home fan base that gets on their own team's back and pressed them high up the pitch, and they inevitably got caught on the ball, as the players aren't good enough to play Martin's style.

Big Shanks played an exemplar centre forward role, chasing, harrying and holding up the ball until others like Braga and Kyzidiris came in support, and scoring twice - one with a shot across Butland into the corner from a neat inside pass from Braga, and a pen rebound in the 2nd half.

We had more of the ball, more touches in the box, more shots at goal and Rangers only looked dangerous for about 10 mins in the 2nd half and they even hit the base of the post.......but McInnes freshened it up with a couple of subs and we took control of the game again. We should've scored a third at the end when our new Icelandic midfielder Magnusson missed a sitter.

So far the Bloom revolution is going ok, and that famous algorithm of his seems to have identified some decent looking players for us, but Celtic are still top on goal difference.

Incidentally, if anyone from England wonders why the old firm always win the league, just take a look at Celtic's handball penalty given by a VAR wearing a green and white hooped shirt in the 94th minute today (when 3 minutes of injury time was indicated by the 4th official) to secure their 2-1 away victory at Kilmarnock.
