You now get to play Luton as well. In all honesty, Luton weren't relegated because they weren't good enough, unlike Darlo. They were relegated because the FA and FL didn't like them.

Haha. Aye right. You sound like a Celtic fan. They are always banging on about a conspiracry against them.

Theres a conspiracy theres a conspiracy............

Any chance you could quote the post you're referring to? I'm completely lost on who you're talking to

Sorry in referring to this - The FA and FL appear to have a dislike for Luton going by the above statement.

Thats exactly what the Celtic fans say about the SFA. Theres a conspiracy against them............

We could say that when we had to play about eight games in about twenty days a few seasons back...

Although I do like watching and reading SSN,

I have no interest in the considerable amount of crap they report, but a few of the female presenters on there are aesthetically pleasing... :D

Aye, there's a conspiracy against Celtic alright when they break the British record for how many penalties awarded in a single season! Still didn't do them any good! B-)

Ashley Young had a medical at the Carrington training ground of Manchester United late yesterday afternoon. Alex MacLeish, the new Aston Villa manager, said that he was resigned to losing the services of Ashley Young, so subject to the results of the medical, there will be yet another multi-million pound transfer being announced.

Still no hard and fast news on Manchester United signing a replacement for Edwin van der Sar.

Players who go from Villa to Manchester always end up warming the bench. Still, if he doesn't want to play for us at least we can get some money off them <(
On the subject of Man U I can't wait to see them play Norwich, it will be impossible to tell home fans from away fans

Norwich did beat them last time they played at Carrow Road, 2-0 I think.

You are thinking of Woking ;)

If only our strikers (such as they are) were able to shoot as well as our board are at shooting themselves in the foot. If there was no truth to the rumours why not have a quote from CC himself?

If (and its a big but still possible if) he does go, Rodders will ensure we get maximum compo from forest, still leaves us with a fragmented squad and Michael Hart :| 5 weeks (?) before new season..?!

Ashley Young has passed the second part of his medical today. He will sign for Manchester United on a 5-year deal, with Aston Villa receiving about £15million.

Manchester United look like missing out on another young player that they have been watching. Lens were relegated from LIGUE 1 in France at the end of the season and their 18 year old defender RAPHAEL VARANE looks more likely to join Real Madrid.

Another rumor concerns West Ham defender Herita Ilunga, who is apparently a target for Greek champions Olympiakos.

Will Allardyce mind though. He seems intent on reuniting his former Bolton team i.e. Kevin Nolan, and Abdoulaye Faye.

Good. He's been shocking for a season and a half. So bad, that he was left out of the 25-man squad last season, that's why we got Wayne Bridge on loan or played Gabbidon out of position.

More news. This time, it concerns Chelsea, who are apparently locked in a battle with Atletico Madrid to sign Genk's highly-rated keeper Thibaut Courtois.

Somebody whom Newcastle could be doing with, does anybody else think that Krul should definitely not be the first choice goalkeeper next season?

Harper ain't bad, he's just a bit old... (He is NUFC's most-named substitute ever!)

I should imagine he is, the amount of time he was next in line for Shay Given. Harper is definitely my prefered option between the posts.

What seemed to be an ideal move at the time for Shay Given, with all his club experiance and international status, to Manchester City, has had to be subjugated to the career prospects of Joe Hart. This young goalkeeper is one of the best young England goalkeepers currently playing and is the no. 1 choice for England. In a similar situation, he would be a target for the best of the European clubs that feature regularly in the Champions League, but such is the financial strength of Manchester City, they could improve upon any financial package that could be offered to Joe Hart by any other club, notwithstanding the fact that he is a key player in their future European ambitions.

Hearing today he's gone or going to Birmingham to be Hughtons No2. Our signings have been poor. 2 Ex players and a lge 1 Centre Half. To me that's a sign of no ambition from the board.

Two over the hill ex-player signings orchestrated by the board to shift season tickets. Not a peep regarding any of CC's own targets apart from the CH. This is seriously doing my nut in.. says something about the club and the SPL if he's seriously willing to drop to assistant boss wth an English club.

Also there's been players scrapping amongst themselves, not a happy camp. :headbangingonwall:

Aye Jimmy Scott banjoed Sean Welsh leaving him with a broken jaw(save the fighting for playing the scum). If CC goes then fair enough but it will be a cheap hurried replacement with no time to make any decent signings. For the first time in many years im starting to question why i bothered to renew my season ticket :?

Have a look over on .net there's a 30 pager about CC going.

BREAKING NEWS....

Judge Mr. Justice Davies has today ruled that neither Tottenham Hotspur nor Leyton Orient have any grounds for a Judicial Review over the decision made by The Olympic Park Legacy Company that West Ham United and Newham Council should be granted the use of the Olympic Stadium after the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Yep, agreed.
Despite Newcastle purchasing three players in the transfer window so far, two of these have been free agents, and once costing around four million. Meaning sneakily, Mike Ashley has mannaged to keep his money tucked away in his back pocket, plus making a few hundred grand profit with the sale of Nolan.

The answer to Newcastle's problems is simple.

It's involves baseball bats and Mike Ashley's house. ;)

And massive investments from Dubai!

Yes, you would have thought Ashley might have left the club by now, particularly after some of the abuse that has been (rightfully) thrown at him over the years he has been at Newcastle. Most of which I am not able to mention on this forum! ;)

An investment from someone rich is nice, but you could argue Newcastle have already got that, what we need is someone who is rich (Mike Ashley) and someone who is willing to part with their cash, doing so in the interest in the club which they have supposedly invested in (not Mike Ashley.)

Investment is worth nothing if you don't get your returns, and Ashley is clearly not going to spend his many funds.
