I still follow your results since our respective teams fortunes saw your team rising and that of Hyde United waning, but how have matters changed of late for you. You won 4-1 away at Harrogate Town, when you played them at the end of last October.

we have been really poor defensively this season and since October just have not been consistent. We should have had a point on Saturday but didnt take the chances we had.

I think we have hit a natural level as we lack funding to go further at present. The most important "win" this season is to be back home in Darlo.

It was bad of Millwall to miss one penalty against Oldham last Saturday near to the end of the game but they then compounded the mistake by missing a second one...:roll:

Oldham under the management of Sheridan have put together a most remarkable run of results and their form continued last night with a 2-1 away win at Northampton Town. They are still out of the bottom four and now have 39 points.

When Sheridan was down here at argyle, he saved argyle from certain relegation favourites to play offs within 18 months when were just out of administration and in a mess. Got results, albeit boring football, and he got on my nerves with his whinging press conferences.

In a very dull game, Winchester City missed out on the chance to go above Supermarine after being held by Bideford. Their best chance came in the first half when Andy Jenkinson's free kick hit the post.

Slimbridge have now recorded two rather back-to-back shock results over the last few days. They won 2-1 away at 5th place Evesham United at the weekend and then followed this up with a 5-2 home win on Wednesday against 2nd place Tiverton Town.

These six points have taken them up to 17th place in the league.

Manchester City 5 - 1 Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield reserves raced into an early lead, Harry Bunn scoring after 6 minutes against the club he played for as a schoolboy... however this spurred the multi-million pound superstars into life and they soon got themselves into a comfortable lead. Other than a few chances Huddersfield never really looked like getting back into it. City managed to grab a couple of late goals to make things even easier, though their 5th, with almost the last kick of the game, was clearly offside! 8,000 Yorkshire folk also dominated the atmosphere, which would have seemed like a library had we not been there.

All eyes now on those pesky magpies coming to town on Saturday!

A 3-1 win for Darlington v Alty last night but by all accounts workman like is the best way to describe our performance last night. We are in the hunt for a play off place but we just are not very good at present. I think we will miss out

Hyde's biggest test in their recent good run was today at home against second-place Farsley Celtic and as the scoreline shows, Hyde did quite well to only lose by the odd goal in nine. Hyde still remain in 12th place in the league.

I'm a very happy Wednesdayite tonight, in a game I'd have probably taken a draw we managed to achieve our biggest win so far this season, a massive 5-1 win against Norwich. It's a pity I couldn't be there to watch the game, but these things happen unfortunately. I was delighted to see Morgan Fox get his first goal for the club, as well as Jordan Rhodes getting back on the score sheet with a brace.

Oldham lost for first time in six matches as Walsall beat them with two late goals. Oldham had two players sent off in both half of game and were playing with 10 men for good 75 mins of match.

Other result have gone our way mean Oldham stay in 20th place and still 3 point clear of drop zone knowing they lost this match.

Winchester City notched up a respectable result against the league's form team in an end-to-end game. The hosts had the better of the first half and took the lead when Craig Feeney curled a shot into the net. The visitors equalised in the second half and both sides had chances to win, the most clear cut was when Craig Feeney missed a near-open goal with around ten minutes left.

Liverpool returned to winning ways this evening with a 3-1 over Arsenal (and thus completing the double over our top four rivals), with Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mané and Georginio Wijnaldum scoring for the Reds. It was nice to hear Mané and Firmino provided the assists for each other's goals, too. Hard to believe this was the same team that lost to Leicester during the week, what an appalling performance that was.

It's a pity we've had so many other poor results this season, but I'm sure Klopp has plans in mind to improve the strength of the current squad. We definitely need to look at the goalkeeper again, and a bit more strength in depth on the wings would be nice too. I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if Sturridge leaves Liverpool this summer, though.

They were all poor signings, in fact I think Rodgers made more poor signings than decent ones. I'd say Sturridge, Allen, Touré, Lallana, Firmino and Coutinho were his only decent signings, the rest I wasn't impressed by at all. We do have back up on the wings, but none of them have the same pace as Mané, which was definitely noticed when he was away at AFCON.

In terms of who I think will leave the club in the summer, I think you've got it spot on there, except for perhaps Lovren who could end up staying if Sakho leaves permanently. If Liverpool signed Jonas Hector, Mahmoud Dahoud and Julian Brandt as well as another goalkeeper this summer, then I'd be happy.

If we'd had such help from a referee, I'd be a bit embarrassed! With Brighton losing we haven't lost ground, but we have Villa next on Tuesday evening. You did us a big favour getting that last ditch equalizer as we're in a big relegation battle with Worcester (& a couple of others). How well did they play and how competitive did they look?
