It definitely wasn't our best, I was half expecting a loss myself with a number of our key players out injured. Hopefully we can improve in time for our game at home to Reading on Friday, although that game doesn't exactly fill me with very much confidence either.

Derby County are set to announce Gary Rowett as their new manager in the next 48hours, after they sacked Schteve McLaren for the second time yesterday.

Wigan Athletic have also sacked Warren Joyce. Silly season in the Championship is most definitely upon us!

Absolute madness what is happening in the Championship, but then it is chairmen panicking and trying to change anything they can. You can't buy new players but you can buy a new manager and, who knows, you might get enough of a "new manager bounce" to keep yourself up.

Fulham are looking like the biggest threat to the current top 6.

Newcastle were terrible at the weekend, the first two goals were absolute bow-wrapped gifts, but Fulham were also pretty good. If they get in the playoffs then, on current form, I'd seriously fancy them to go up. If Fulham sneak in in 6th place it might well be a case of it being better to finish 4th...

Other big win for Latics as sound like it was good Oxford side but it seen like we "just" deserve to win. with Port Vale and Swindon both lost in tonight matches it mean Oldham stay in 20th and now five points clear of drop zone.

This rearranged match finally was played this evening, with Hyde 1-0 by half-time. Ramsbottom scored soon after the break only for Hyde to take the lead again soon after that, then they added a third mid-way through the second half.

Quite a good away result against a higher placed team above Hyde in the league and Hyde are now in 11th place.

Winchester City suffered their second straight defeat in the league as Salisbury emerged victorious in the Cathedral City Derby. The hosts flew out of the blocks and thanks to an early header, a close range tap-in and a diving header, were 3-0 ahead inside the first 25 minutes. City got a goal back from a counter-attack with ten minutes of the first half remaining before nearly reducing the arrears further but were subdued in a much quieter second half.

Yourselves and Fulham do look like the main threats to the current top 6- I'm still hopeful we can catch one of Brighton or Newcastle, but with our poor goal-difference we still need one of them to slip up more than once, even with our game in hand. None of the potential play-off opponents would be an easy game though. Glad Blackburn managed to stifle Fulham- even if they go down they've helped keep the top of the table competitive.

Elsewhere in the EFL, it looks like both Lee Clark and James Vaughan have found their level at Bury...

The form book would suggest an easy away win for us, but in this division the form book is not worth the metaphorical paper it isn't printed on... Bristol were up in the play-off places early in the season but a disastrous run has them looking over their shoulders and desperate for points. Hopefully we'll be okay, perhaps even score more than 3 for the first time in the league this season... fingers crossed!

It's interesting to see Bristol city sacked an assistant rather than the normal manager route, and their results have improved. Fans calling for the sacking of Lee Johnson, and the rest of us may remain oblivious to whatever that coach was doing to contribute to their bad run.

Winchester City's season looks to be fizzling out after a disappointing defeat to a team down at the bottom of the table. The hosts played a long ball game in the first half (to the point that a free kick given for offside ended up in the hands of the City keeper). The visitors took the lead in the second half after scoring at the back post (having missed an open goal previously) before City laid siege to the hosts' goal late on, being thwarted repeatedly by the home keeper.
