My favourite player of all time Danny Parslow has returned to York. Cracking lad and puts in the effort to.

McDaid, Rzonca and Nti have all gone out on loan now - notice we're keeping Oliver while Felix remains out on loan. Disappointing.

I hope we get Rzonca back eventually; he's shown he has good potential.

25yr-old Collin Quaner has signed from Union Berlin, and may be in the squad for tomorrow's home match against Ipswich subject to international clearance.

Hoping we can get back to winning ways tomorrow, it's definitely a game that we should win if we have any realistic claims on a promotion place. Do we have any Tractor Boys on here?

Shrewsbury 1-0 Oldham

Other defeat other nil to Oldham as they lost this six pointer clash thanks to Ladapo who was on loan at Oldham for first half of season. This defeat leave Oldham six point draft to Shrewsbury who move up to 20th in table.

Our next match is on Tuesday against Peterborough and our owners have said that both set of fans can att this match for free which come to surprise given money issues Latics been having in last 6 months.

Huddersfield Town 2 - 0 Ipswich Town

Finally we win a league game by a margin of more than one goal! And all that without our new signing (who failed to get international clearance in time, but did do the half-time draw!)

We could have won by 4 or 5 based on chances created, but at least we managed to undo the damage to our goal difference from last week in one game. Also our first "double" of the season and hopefully not our last, especially with us hosting that noisy rabble from up the A62 next month!

Good win for Oldham in last night match knowing I felt Peterborough were poor team, first half was dull but a lot better second half for Oldham which I felt we deserve the victory.

Also 7,224 fans came to watch this game for free but looking around stadium it didn't look like they were 2,500 empty seats in home end, it be interesting to see how many of them will come back on Saturday and pay £20 to watch Oldham play against Bradford.

Letting fans in for free was a great idea by the club IMO, and I support a team who have benefitted massively this season from the lift that a full or almost full stadium can bring to the team. It seems the big crowd did lift the team, too. My only issue is that it short-changes existing season ticket holders who paid for that game 6 months ago. Better to have much cheaper season tickets though I appreciate that Oldham may not have been in a position to offer that last summer.

Sooner or later the TV bubble will burst in football, and when it does ticket prices will have to come down or the game will die. A football match should cost about the same as to watch as a film at the cinema- both are (allegedly) entertainment, and both last around 90 minutes give or take.

Their problem is that they always choke against teams they should beat, despite performing exceptionally against teams they should arguably come unstuck against. Before the Swansea defeat last week they hadn't lost at Anfield in over a year, all of which I believe was under Klopp's era. Whether their problems of late have been increased because of Mane's absence (they seemed to weather losing Coutinho) and the ongoing weaknesses elsewhere (e.g. Karius) I don't know. If they are still doing this in March then there may be issues with Klopp, but every manager who has ever existed has gone through poor runs of form. Sadly for Liverpool theirs coincided with two cup competitions...

I watched the final score section about 1800 on BBC1 when all the final results were being broadcast in the usual manner and when it came to the Welsh Cup matches that they had to give, not a single result was given, but the following Northern Ireland results were all shown.

Were all the Welsh Cup matches cancelled?

Fortress Anfield has certainly crumbled in the last week

After being unbeaten for over a year within the space of a week they have lost at home to Abertawe, Southampton and now Wolves exiting two Cup Competitions in the process.

Given that they are unlikely to win the Premiership the Cups should have been the main focus of effort.

The popular Huddersfield chant ("David Wagner, he's better than Klopp!") is now true, at least as far as the FA Cup is concerned!

Our own 4th round tie saw us start slowly, struggling a bit on a very small pitch that resembled the surface of the moon. After taking the lead with a debut goal from Collin Quaner just before half-time, the second half saw a change in tactics with central defender and cult hero Michael Hefele coming off the bench as a makeshift striker. A penalty (our first since spring 2015) awarded for a foul on Hefele was coolly dispatched by Izzy Brown, sparking a purple patch which saw Hefele score twice before Rochdale regained some composure and went close to bagging a consolation a couple of times.

Good to see that we've finally learned how to win ugly when we need to, now with a favourable draw we could be on our way to Wembley!
