Indeed! Although I doubt they would simply terminate his employment. There is a value to his registration.
Which just shows how immoral they are then.
Johnson will never play again. Just look at Ched Evans

Adam Johnson pleads guilty to sexual activity with a child and grooming. Pleads non guilty to 2 other counts of sexual activity.
How Sunderland let him play on is beyond me.
Innocent until proven guilty mean anything to you? Would you want to carry on working if you were in a similar position? What if all charges were dropped?
I know plenty of season ticket holders at Anfield as well as having a lot of family in the city and the general consensus is that Klopp does not get the stick he maybe deserves. Massively weakened squads, scraping into the League Cup final, a lack of January moves..... an endless list of negatives since he has come in.
One positive note is that in an open letter issued by the owners of Liverpool, their plans for the infamous £77 match ticket have now been scrapped and they apologised to the Liverpool supporters "for the distress caused"
So you know loads of Reds who think Klopp has been a tremendous success so far?
That's not what I said in any of my posts but you twist it to how you want it to be said.
and stop being so touchy.
Correct course of action, looks like his career is over!

More to the point I'd hazard a guess that within the month he'll be in prison!
He may have pleaded guilty because the offence happened. However there may be mitigating circumstances. Did he meet the girl in a nightclub for example.. Or are we blokes meant to ID girls before chatting them up in a nightclub now. I don't know the background to the offences, but it was initially reported he met the girl in a 18+ nightclub and therefore could reasonably believe she was over 18. Guilty but not totally at fault in such an instance in my view.
One thing that really destroys that view, in my mind, is that he has pleaded guilty to child grooming as well as sexual activity, why would he admit to child grooming if he had any genuine belief that the girl had reached the age of consent?
Burton 1 - 0 Chesterfield
We're going down. Injuries have been very cruel to us this season (and again last night), but that's what you get when you fill your side with a load of Championship crocks. A more expensive team than last season spending most of their time not playing. Burton were nothing special, but we wouldn't have scored if we were still playing now.
So where exactly is Forest Green?
And York please stay up.
Long trip to Colchester on Tuesday night. They'll be up for a fight, I doubt we will.
I'd like to follow my previous post on Huddersfield's excellent away win with a moan about the woeful quality of Channel 5's highlights programme. Since David Wagner took over they have shown his post-match interview only once. The bias towards the "big" teams is even more pronounced than it was under the BBC. I do hope the Football League will take this into consideration when the deal is up for renewal.
I'm pretty sure the only thing they take into consideration is the amount of money they will be getting
Sorry I turned down a ticket for Villa away now.
Our defending has been shocking thus far. Hopefully we can snatch one back before half time.
