A lot of them had Manchester United players in their twitter pictures, there is a screenshot knocking around showing the worst of it.

I was watching the game on a 'totally legal' feed from a pub that may or not have been foreign coverage they showed many a replay of Rooney's abuse directed at Clattenburg clearly.

Clattenburg had a poor game overall no doubt about it but for many Manchester United fans to say it was them vs him then it's totally inaccurate.

I think I know the screenshot you're on about - it is pretty damning. I'm sure a fair few of those people are Man Utd fans, but as I said, it's a little different to Man Utd fans in a stadium where there allegiances are evident. Of course, every club has there idiots. The more fans you have, the more idiots you get.

You don't even have to be a fan of a PL team to enjoy the comeback

That said, things are looking up for my own club. 1-3 away win at Bournemouth last tuesday and 3-0 home win against Huddersfield yesterday.

No doubt we'll come crashing back down to earth soon but it's not as bad as many people (Leeds fans included) predicted it would be

Rooney and his alleged language - How can you be so sure of what he said? I mean don't get me wrong, I'm sure he wasn't saying very nice things , but you seem to be absolutely sure of what he was saying and the punishment that should be awarded for it. Do footballers not give abuse to referees all the time and not get punished for it?

Balotelli abuse - first I've heard of this to be honest. Of course I'd be among the first to condone such behaviour but I genuinely haven't heard a single thing about it.

Effectively some idiots on Twitter who could be anybody responding to one of Mario's tweets about todays game. They're not exactly Man Utd fans in the same way as people in the ground; these guys could be anybody, not necessarily Man Utd fans, could just be racist trolls. (What I'm trying to say is that this is slightly different to what you inferred in your post as if it was groups of Man Utd fans, clearly identifiable as such, in a stadium or something in public.)

I'm not sure that the people who turn up at football grounds are any less likely to be idiots than those who turn up on Twitter. I went to Old Trafford away in the league cup last season and heard some vile abuse from both sets of fans.

But this was 'Your season' back in the big time, back in the Champions league, with the signings to make up for Suarez leaving.... You struggled to beat a 2 year old team from the back of beyond.

Apart from the poor decision about the penalty I didn't think Clattenburg did too badly (yes, there was the corner business as well).

Man Utd simply took their foot off the gas against a pumped up Leicester from what I saw.

I think Brendan Rodgers may have lost the plot a bit. I don't understand some of his signings...having attacked with pace last year they don't seem able to do the same this season.

I know part of this is likely to be down to teams working them out, and they are missing Sturridge, but I just can't see Balotelli or Lambert being able to form an effective partnership with anyone up front.

Lambert won't be able to form an effective partnership with anyone, he ain't a spring chicken like Balotelli or Sturridge are. Like Drogba at Chelsea his best use would be as a sub with 30 mins left to get you a goal you desperately need.

Indeed. But based on Brendan's philosophy of youth and pace,. he doesn't seem to fit in. Or perhaps the manager felt insecure with that plan of attack this season and wanted some sort of plan B. If so, that's a reasonable line of thinking, but very unlike Rodgers.

In my not very expert view, Borini could have supplied something a bit different, there was no need to bring Lambert in at all.

Really cant see Liverpool repeating their form from last season, Suarez is irreplaceable and Balotelli is the wrong man IMO. Surprised by the signing and thought Rodgers had better judgement than that, seems like a panic buy due to lack of better alternatives.

It's been discussed many, many times, even tentative plans have been drawn up although normally by architects with no affiliation to either club. It's all come to nothing though, both clubs want to keep their identity with their own stadium.

Oldham draw again today after they draw 0-0 to Notts County, I happy that they didn't loses but is five draws already this season and our records this season is won 2 draw 5 lost 2, hopefully we can start winning game more then drawing them.

Only good thing about drawing these games is that we are now on 6 match unbeaten run and I'm sure this will continued next Saturday when we meet David team Scunthorpe.

They been some high scoring goal today, Accrington beat Northampton 5-4, MK Dons beat Crewe 6-1, Swindon beat Sheff Utd 5-2, Halifax won 5-0, Barnet beat Altrincham 5-0 (I'm sure someone on here wouldn't be happy with that scoreline) and they was big scoreline at Ewen Fields ground too.

Hyde first win since January 2014 and first home win since 9th April 2013 I believe. I'm sure Paul will be very happy with that scoreline.

We were dry humped by Barnet. Best team we have played.
