I thought the referee was waiting for a murder to take place before he got a yellow card out.

I wonder which panel actually judges the performance of a referee in this World Cup, as logic should decree that only the better referees should officiate from the Quarter-Finals onwards.
Brazil scrapping through with the one man advantage. Clearly nothing at all phishy with this tournament, Brazil's name has already engraved on the trophy and if you look hard enough, Brazil v Argentina is listed as the final on the FIFA website.
Looking dodgy for Brazil now Neymar is out for the rest of the tournament![]()
Just heard on Radio 4 that he has suffered a fractured vertebrae. Barcelona are going to be devastated with this news.
Why is the player sometimes referred to in the media and the press as Neymar (Junior) ?
Who exactly is the world-famous Neymar (Senior) that those bodies have gone out of their way to help their viewership and readership to avoid any unnecessary confusion..![]()
And going on to win 2-1 - scraping through.
I keep saying they are there for the taking and they keep winning
Perhaps Germany can turn them over on their own manor (hopefully)
Germany v Netherlands sounds good to me....however equally appealing would be Brazil v Argentina ....
As a European I must hope for the former with The Netherlands winning.
Should help Liverpool with the negotiations on Suarez - although unless his ban is shortened he's out for a while as well.
Germany v Netherlands would be one hell of a final and one I'd love to see. Argentina v Brazil not so much because the refereeing in a number of Brazil games has been substandard and usually in favour of the hosts
Was that possibly the greatest substitution in World Cup history? Super sub defined.
Just making a comparison between two teams in the World Cup tournament about goals being conceded in normal and extra time, but ignoring penalty shoot outs:-
Costa Rica.....5 matches...2 goals conceded
England........3 matches...4 goals conceded

As a Villa fan I can categorically say no. No I am not![]()
Seconded. Can't see anyone buying us either

Perhaps you will look forward to relegation this year. At least this way Villa can start winning some games next season, and resume the rivalry with Small Heath.![]()
Hyde, after two years in the heady heights of the Conference Premiership, now are back in somewhat less exalted company this season in the Conference North.
We start on Saturday, 9th August, at home against that well known "northern (?)" side, Oxford City. What an amazing geographical "North" league this is, to be sure. We also have games against other such "northern (?)" teams such as Brackley Town, Leamington, Worcester City and Lowestoft Town.
Perhaps if I look really hard enough at the fixtures, there might be other strangely geographically challenged teams there, such as Fort William and Strathspey Thistle...![]()

Given their performance last season that's quite the assumption that Small Heath will stay up![]()
From what I've understood he's done the best with the hand he's been dealt. Their ownership issues are worse than ours
What do you think about Roy Keane as Lamberts new assistant ? - where did that come from![]()
