You mean to tell me that we effectively have a link to one of England's best strikers?hock:
Not really.

And as a Chelsea fan I really wouldn't want him.........his best days are behind him apart from all the 'baggage' that comes with him
Only in two seasons since the 2002 season has Rooney scored more than 16 league goals in a season, so he is not what you would call a prolific goalscorer in the Premiership.
Never one to miss an opportunity to make a statement that will cause a great deal of discussion, the FIFA president, Sepp Blatter, now insists there is still time to switch the timing of the 2022 World Cup held in Qatar to the winter months.
I am sure that all the Football League bodies in Europe will see some "slight difficulties" () in preparing their respective league fixtures in that season...
Any forum member have a comment to add about Herr Blatter ?
One of the few sensible things he has said. The only options are to play the World Cup in January, or move it elsewhere. They aren't likely to move it, so it looks like the main leagues in Europe will have to put up with it.
Of course, the Premiership could continue whatever - without any representatives from teams involved, just as the do so patronisingly with the African beanfeast. With regard to how this may affect the clubs in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Eire, of course much will hinge on whether or not any of their national teams actually progress to the final stages of the 2022 World Cup. .....
Which option do you think the FA would take?

Being a Chelsea supporter, I am sure that you fell off your chair laughing at the latest media non-story that Chelsea offered £10 million, plus Mata, in exchange for Rooney..![]()
Who's falling off their chair now Mourinho has come out and public ally said Rooney is his number one target for this summer?
Everybody but the Chelsea fans.

QPR Manager Harry Redknapp has offered Manchester United a three-minute trolley-dash to take as many players as they want for Wayne Rooney
Chelsea may end up fighting QPR for Rooney according to this.

Apart from perhaps Samba and Remy, have QPR got any players that are capable of getting into the Man Utd reserve team, let alone anywhere near the first team?
Except Samba isn't at QPR any more - he moved to Anzhi Makhachkala earlier this month![]()
Christian Benteke appears to have something of a Damascene moment in whiich he withdrew his transfer request and signed a new contract up to 2017.

Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Raina looks set to join his former manager Rafael Benitez at Napoli on a season-long loan deal.
Any Bournemouth fans on here, if so then will u be going to watching Bournemouth take on Real Madrid on Sunday 21st July at Goldsands Stadium knowing tickets are £60 for that match?
http://www.afcb.co.uk/news/article/2013-07-02-cherries-to-host-real-madrid-890863.aspx
Final score:-
AFC Bournemouth 0...Real Madrid 6
Full scoresheet:
Ronaldo 21, 40
Khedira 43
Higuaín 47
Di Maria 68
Casemiro 82
Even so, I think this counts as a victory for the Cherries being as they actually got Real Madrid to bring most of their first team to visit. And they also had just lost to Conference side Woking 2-1.
Also it seems the new seating extension is now open, bringing the capacity from 9,600 to 12,000. Meaning they now move up from 24th to 23rd in terms of stadium capacity in the Championship![]()
