Both the BBC and BT Sport have jointly secured the television rights coverage of the FA Cup on a four-year deal starting from the start of the 2014/2015 season.

However, it has been stated the 1500 kick-off time of the FA Cup final that was put back to a later kick-off time recently will not be reinstated as it is said that the later kick-off time would remain as it was more convenient, despite claims that northern supporters would have return train travel difficulties, as occurred earlier this year when Manchester City and Wigan Athletic met in the final.

Perhaps if the FA Cup final were to be held about 250-400 miles away from London and London based-fans had the same return train problems, I have a teeny feeling that some consideration would be given to a 1500 kick-off time. But that is me living up to my reputation as one of the most cynical forum members..

That depends on who you support. I'd love a 16 goal scorer (especially since it looks unlikely we'll keep Benteke), wouldn't surprise me if Juan Pablo Angel was our last player to get that high (excluding Benteke of course)

One of the few sensble things he has said. The only options are to play the World Cup in January, or move it elsewhere. They aren't likely to move it, so it looks like the main leagues in europe will have to put up with it. The average low temperature in Qatar from May through September is above 26 °C. Average high is above 40 °C. You might get away with a one off game or games once a fortnight, but to play a World Cup in those conditions would not be wise.

Of course, the Premiership could continue whatever - without any representatives from teams involved, just as the do so patronisingly with the African beanfeast.
Alternatively, they could reduce the size of the leagues, so that there is space for a whopping gap in the middle (And then continue with the reduced leagues, so as to avoid fixture congestion, exhaustion etc)
Or they could plant a whopping gap in the leagues of the same size, and extend the "season" by the requisite number of weeks, thus ensuring that the players become even more exhausted, fixtures more congested and confused. And the rest of the country who have to fit their sporting activities around the whims of the football juggernaut with even less opportunities.:roll:

I note the original "media-stated" low bid, plus Juan Mata, has now suddenly ceased to have any mention whatsoever of Juan Mata moving to Old Trafford. Juan Mata would surely have taken great exception to this media non-story and would be more entitled than "Shrek" to feel aggrieved. I think that Juan Mata is a key member of the Chelsea squad.

Did Jose Mourinho mean that "Shrek" was his number one target....for "winding-up"...

With 9600 they wouldn't have been 24th anyway. Huish Park has a capacity of 9565, of which 5212 are seated
