What happened to Fisher Athletic? Another one is Emley?

Fisher went bust - I think they may have been in the Conference in their final ever season. I can remember Wakefield & Emley playing at Accrington Stanley back when they were in the non-league abyss - maybe 2000-2002?

AFC Emley is an English football club based in Emley, near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. The club was formed in 2005 by officials of the old Emley A.F.C. after the old club moved to Wakefield in 2000 and are now called Wakefield F.C.

Fisher Athletic F.C. was a semi-professional football club from South East London, which last played in the Conference South, which is one of the two leagues that form the sixth tier of the English football league system. The Bermondsey-based club ground-shared at Champion Hill Stadium, the home of Dulwich Hamlet. They were wound up by the High Court, after failing to repay their debts, on 13 May 2009.[1] However, it was announced on 29 May that a new club, Fisher F.C., had been formed. The new club was elected to the Kent League for the 2009–10 season.

Not at all, I love the level of football that we play at and don't enjoy the trappings that come with what I do when we play teams who have played higher.

Basically, as he's only expected to be in the job short-term, he can bring back the "old guard" with no regard for forward planning and then leave the job of evolving the team (and getting sacked when it doesn't provide instant success) to whoever gets the job permanently in the summer.

That's basically the matter at Chelsea in a nutshell. Combine with the usual (unless you play at Molineux ) increase in form when changing the boss and it's a time bomb in the summer.

Also what's the "interim" manager. Back in my day (despite being 23 ) they were "caretaker" managers and there was none of this "coach" crap, everyone was a manager much less head of football affairs

There is also Conservative MSP Murdo Fraser urging Duff & Phelps to do anything but liquidate the company. But then he would say that, since he is a debenture owner in Rankgers... Not registered in parliamentary interests either AFAIK.

One cannot but admire Fort. Week in week out they get tonked. But do they collapse, do they go whining into administration? Do they heck. And every year at this time, you look at the table and think "If they win their games in hand....". But they never do. Their match squad must contain most of the able-bodied men in the town, as well. Keep going, Fort!

To be honest, Fort William were above Strathspey Thistle in the Highland League table for much of the season, until Strathspey Thistle suddenly won three matches. It has to be said that for Fort William to now have a goal difference of minus 80 is still a sad reflection. It is said that Rothes FC keep it very quiet that they lost 1-2 at home to Fort William last November, which was the only league win that Fort William have managed this season.

The Highland League have not let themselves down too badly when you consider Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Ross County, who now are in the top two divisions of the Scottish League. Peterhead and Elgin City have also performed creditably well since they were elevated to Scottish League status.

Just watched the game back on Sky, a superb trip to the Majestic (or whatever it's called) stadium today. Reading fans just shocking, leaving at 0-0 and then 1-0! Not singing or getting behind their team at all only bouncing about to terrible music played after their goals, I hate clubs that do that, so tinpot.

Despite holding out for 80 minutes against a far superior team Warnock got his tactics wrong. Some of the tackles were a disgrace, I actually thought Pugh's was worse than Thompson's and the Reading players did their best to get Leeds players booked. Karacan twice nibbled Brown in the opening 5 minutes and Gorksssssssssss stamped on McCormack's foot at an early corner that went completley unoticed, still that doesn't matter because it wasn't dirty Leeds. Lets not forget the knee by Hunt into Lonergan's ribs that Don Goodman claimed "was never a foul" Amazing bias for someone who's supposed to be impartial.

Still, things need to improve massively next season. The fans deserve better, 3000 of us there today, totally outsung the Reading 'support' as we do to all teams away from home week in week out, best travelling support in the country by a mile.

Having worked in fort william on a number of occasions I think I may be able to shed some light on the wonder of the fort william fc incompetency.
The local men are mostly in a state of inebriation and are constantly trying to repel the advances of the “foreigners“ towards the local womenfolk, to such an extent that football falls very low on the list of priorities in the fort.

Try closer to £140m. According to the administrator rangers have assets worth £113m, so I don't understand why they are so confident that a cva will be agreed, particularly in the case of hmrc. With a potential liability of over £90m why would hmrc settle for under £10m when they could get over £80m by liquidating rangers and selling the assets.
