Forgot to put Demba Ba in my starting XI for this week's fantasy football. This is less than desirable.

Wigan 0...Liverpool 0

That is the last scoreline I expected by the end of this particular match.

Watched this one on sky, both goalkeepers were outstanding both teams played very attacking football, if it weren't for the 2 gk putting in so many top saves it could of been a big score line

I am sorry to say this XC driver but if you cant beat a team who had only two recorgnised full backs in their postion with central midfielder playing right back. Then you have got problems. Things must also be bad if the smallest player on the field can head the ball into the net.

On another point an despite my reservations about Yossi Benayoun i hope that Arsenal sign him on a permanent basis. Frankly he doesnt deserve to go back to the Chavs esp the way they have treated him.

I said it when we were sitting 8th in the league.
We have big problems. We can't defend set pieces to save our lives. And the one benefit mcleish was supposed to bring to us it was defensive organisation. we play far too defensive football. Our strikers / striker are far too isolated. We have lost all confidence. The fans are voting with their feet. And the ones that do turn up are turning against mcleish. Now I will say this. The fans are not against mcleish as much for the fact he came from small heath. They are against him because he is a poor manager who plays poor football. He was never going to be given much of a chance because a lot of fans simply don't want him anywhere near this football club.
I will say it again. We are in a relegation scrap. No doubt about it in my mind. The only thing that might save us is the fact there are a few teams even more woeful than we are.

I hear Wenger's considering going for Wayne Bridge! Is he not a bit past it?
And sort of not-very-good anyway?

And things go from bad to worse ( and that is saying something for Darlo!)

I hear Celtic may make a bid to sign ex-Gers man Kris Boyd...

Any views on this, Matt? Or anyone else?

I have a view - total and utter garbage. He was nothing short of a disgrace at Boro. Shows just how poor the SPL is if he is one of the greatest Scottish centre forwards of recent years:roll:

Not so sure he is one of the greatest Scottish centre forwards anyway. What he got at rangers was excellent support from his team mates. A very lazy player, pure poacher, just like mcoist back in the day.

McCoist did not fail at Sunderland; he signed on there as a teenager and was unfortunate in that he played in a struggling team and was often played out of position as well. It's worth remembering that he wasn't exactly an instant sensation at Rangers when he arrived...

Incidentally, Boyd played very well when Middlesbrough loaned him out to Nottingham Forest, who performed far better in the league then Boro that season. Food for thought?
And yes he is the top scorer in SPL history with 164 goals (63 of which came as a Kilmarnock player).
