Best route brand confusion a few days ago a "pink 9" on the 90 with an unbranded on the 9 behind it on Paisley Road West.

Yeah I seen that during the week. I think they've genuinely just stopped caring what bus goes on what service now. Even the likes of the 5 that had consistency with what buses were on it has become partial to just about anything. The X4 is the same too

240/x11 will get redone but not anytime soon.

We should be seeing more vehicles arriving soon from other depots. not sure if they are for here or FSE. Darts/Streetlites I was told.
It’s 64 plate streetlites from Bristol.

Hopefully they're better than the one I was on earlier on the 267. Was practically rattling the whole way from Hamilton into the city centre. Was sitting beside the emergency exit and was scared it was gonna open

Finally arriving then. think there is 6 vehicles coming. was hoping for darts tbh

Edit: Vehicles coming are for Glasgow. unknown depot as of yet. EDIT: First arrivals could be for elsewhere.

Being reported that at least 6 Gemini 2s from Leeds are Glasgow bound with Streetlites going the other way.

It would be nice to see some Gemini’s with the up to date interior. They seem like good buses, although not sure why singles are being exchanged for deckers. It must be a Lanarkshire depot getting deckers then surely.

Wonder where they could put deckers in Lanarkshire tbh. The only services from Lanarkshire depots I've seen deckers on are the U1, 227 occasionally, 263 occasionally and then the X1, 18 and 21. 266 maybe?

The 267 may or may not be getting a timetable reductionthe next round of service changes, so if it does deckers will be required. Just a thought

Yeah makes sense. Never been on a quiet 267 as it is tbh. Even the one I was on earlier was pretty busy with a lot of people going to at least Cambuslang or further from Hamilton

For glasgow depot apparently with blantyre getting e300 from caly this is rumoured to just be the start of it

These buses will be 12 plates from what I can see? Will these be Euro 5 then? I did wonder if there would be some movement to bring the deckers to Caledonia. The 267 would in turn lose newer buses then but not drastically just by about a year or so.

266 is operated by Overtown Mon-Fri daytime now and they can’t house double deckers.

No frequency reduction for 267 in the service change. They plan to take a bus off but keep the same frequency by reducing layover at each end.

Thank you for clarifying. Rules out Lanarkshire for the deckers then surely unless it's to guarantee the 21 is always deckers. Seen 2 or 3 lately that have been Gardenhall runs and been single decker

It’s been said above they are for Caledonia with E300s possibly going from Caley to Lanarkshire.

I wonder if it’s the intention to redo the branding on the 240 branded E200MMCs and the gold express branded E400MMCs as they still have the Olympia livery and the gold hasn’t been applied to the full front of the buses like the X36 FSE E300s which are branded similarly but with the new urban livery. I find it strange the X8 hasn’t been gold branded using E400s like the other routes.

Fairly sure i seen a 65 plate e400mmc in new livery

Cutting buses from busy routes but keeping the same frequency is a recipe for disaster. How long till they’re up before the Commissioner? Not sure how much layover the 240 and 267 get in the bus station, but in the late afternoon they turn up, load up and head straight back out again, so they’re obviously running late under the existing timetable…

There's a lot of services that struggle as it is at both ends of their route. The 1s are a big example of this. Turnover time at Balloch and Helensburgh is practically 15 mins and Osborne st is 10 yet very often the bus isn't there when it's meant to have left again already

Think we will definitely see a lot of reshuffling going on with the fleet across different operations as they begin to wind down.

Already seems to be a lot of reshuffling going on with what buses appear on which services. The danger First have especially in Glasgow is that if they don't treat the customers well it'll make it harder to sell

The 2 68 plates that are away to Aberdeen for the shuttles are the 2 unbranded ones that came with the branded 38 batch
