A very much doubt they will order 12 deckers for the 500So straight away that 12 decker from next years order out the window. I wonder if Glasgow will be able to keep the current E300 stock and refurbish them or will there be sent away?

06 and 07 b7 deckers are moving to EnglandDid see an 09 plate Gemini on a 75 yesterday!
Not noticed any changes to allocations , maybe theres a surplus . When the new E400S go on the 18 , the 53 plates have to go somewhere .
I thought they were different
Hopefully they order 12 high spec alx400 buses for the 500 and consider putting the current fleet onto the 77 to keep the airport services consistent and premium much like Lothian.
Ilol be curious what other routes will receive new buses next year, the 60 has been mentioned a few times to me.

The 77 has premium fares to the airport too . A overheard a lady getting a single from the Hospital to airport for £5.30 . Cheaper to buy all day at £4,50 or use a pass if you have one .
I see , would be difficult to enforce , ive used my pass out there .Glasgow Airport falls under Network, so an all day is £5.50. A £4.50 is City or Local only.

Saw loads of new E400s on the 75 yesterday. Also saw a YN53 Gemini on the 18 in the new livery, I.e. The same one as the 75 & 61. Surprised at that, thought these would be heading for scrap before too longDid see an 09 plate Gemini on a 75 yesterday!

You can use your NEC to the airport, but the Airport falls under the Network. Not sure why you're saying it would be difficult to enforce. All it would take is for the driver to look at the ticket and see straight away it was the wrong ticket.
Do drivers check tickets now? Surely Ticketer wouldn't accept the QR Code as it's not valid on that part of the network? You might be able to go to the airport, but boarding at the airport shouldn't be possible.
Of course, but I was meaning that Ticketer has removed the need for Driving Staff to check tickets manually. The QR Code should stop travelling outside your zone with an invalid ticket. If it doesn't scan correctly on the QR Reader after a couple of attempts, the driver will take it and have a look.

Not all the time, what's to stop a passenger using a City ticket all the way to Motherwell? For example the 240 goes through both City and Network zones. If it scans ok, the driver rarely checks the screen.

I would have thought it would make more sense for the B7TLs to go to England rather than the B9TLs. Glasgow should keep their stock as new as possible not give it away. Maybe not be by much but the 54 plates are very different to the 07 plates.
Lack of clarity from me - they are the same ones that Lothian's Streetdecks have, and are different to the ones in the 65 plates.I thought they were different

Reported that 37147-55 (2006) and 37172-9 (2007) are the ones, with 37153/77 already in SheffieldIs this the 17 going to South Yorkshire ?
Balancing fleet profiles is a dark art in First. Bristol received a number of 54 plates from Glasgow, swapped with 2013 Streetlites. The B7TLs arrived but then some almost identical 55 plates (in better condition) departed for Chelmsford!
A better parallel is the arrival of various new fleet into Leeds over time. Some have replaced the oldest vehicles in the fleet but quite a few have enabled the cascading of relatively youthful 2012 B9TLs to places like Norwich/Great Yarmouth, Sheffield and Swansea

For all intended purposes, Wrights Daimler-engined “Streetdeck” uses “Gemini 3” bodywork, Streetdeck is just the name given to identify it as wrights own integral designed vehicle.Lothian do not have Streetdecks, they have Geminis. The Streetdeck is a product built entirely by Wrightbus where as the Gemini is a Wrightbus body on a Volvo Chassis.

Think of the streetdeck as a “Wright Gemini 3 Integral”
