For instance those going from westerhill to the very bottom of refield st instead of having to get off at the bus station and walk, for those students who may penilee to cally uni etc! What about Mcgills? There operated via the Fastlink and then give up, Also First has never operated Govan Direct Glasgow service in years. There is no demand for such service why would people from Easterhouse go to silverburn when there is Glasgow Fort next door? Travel time would be 80-90mins? bonkers, you would be quicker taking X19 and then changing to an x8.
It simply opens up more for people, even if its only for another few stops.
Even suburban routes that dont go to the city centre don’t seem to be well implemented, bottom line having so many operators in glasgow is making them all suffer, they should be regulated more, no use in mcgills and first competing with say the 38 and 9 etc.
With regards to extra long routes when you consider that the 2 and 6 for instance are long inter-suburban routes, most people wont go from Clydebank to East Kilbride, but its always there incase
