I'm looking forward to it but am pretty nervous at the same time!

Perhaps they could do all the tests for you whilst there at it.....that would be even easier !!

Well I had mine today, unfortunately I couldn't get somebody else to do it for me as shoot2kill suggested :roll: so had to do it myself.

Feel like it went ok but just have to wait and see now I guess

Thanks for your responses, got my email today after a tense and nervy wait. Anyone know for sure which assesments we will be sitting, on their web page it states the original tests but I understand some TOCs are now following the new assesment process.

Me again, does anyone know how far back assessments are still valid with FCC, I have not attempted the DFFT and I last passed the SCAAT about 4 years ago and hope this will be OK. The other passes are quite recent.

I was supposed to have a telephone interview today, they called me for literally less than a second so I had no time to pick up my phone. Then a few minutes later exactly the same thing happened, I had the phone in my had and still couldn't answer because the call lasted less than a second. I bet now they'll say I failed the interview.

That's no good then mate, try and get hold of them to explain it and see what they say.

well the first question, I'm sure theres people on here that have got to this stage before, and have experienced the assessment stage. Is it likely to be 20 people? 50 ? 200 ?

its not that outrageous a question is it ??

There would I expect be a high application for this job, there are only TWO at Blackfriars AFAIK and you have to remember its not just open to the likes of people using the forums, internal applications might be made as well from other people already in employment with the First Group or people with other TOC that might not be able to do this with there company

SPADtrap has a fair point to be honest, how long is a piece of string?

It said on the FCC page for this vacancy that they expected a large number of people to apply for the job, could be 20 or 30 could be 50 or 100 no way to know

They say on average around 416 people apply for every 1 position available. Therefore, according to averages, in Bedford you can expect around 2000+ applicants and over 800 applicants for the Blackfriars positions.

They then say that over 80% of people fail the application stage so that puts the Bedford positions down to 400 already.

Then people will fail online assessments and telephone interview etc.

You can do the maths from then but can imagine there still being over 100 by assessment centre.

I reckon theres '2 batches'

there seemed to be an awful lot of people on here who were - time wise - ahead in the process than I was. I didn't have my telephone interview til the 30th, and my pass email til the 31st, whereas acc to the dates on this thread, some people were already at this stage long before me

Well I had to have the telephone interview Christmas eve as I wasn't very well and had lost my voice when I got my email about passing the online assessment stages, and I was then away until the day before Christmas eve but I got the email pretty much straight away telling me I had passed the telephone interview and to wait for the email regarding attending the assessment centre

I am really pleased to have got this far, but am nervous about the assessment day, I seem to do a lot better with the GBT on the PC than on Paper for some reason and as far as I know it is a paper test now, just got to keep practising, and my daughters BOP IT has never had so much use I don't think!!
