Can confirm that normally guaranteed 360 workings like the 16:32 and 16:44 off LST both bins today. The 360s must be withdrawn already and are only pending transfer. This morning I was on 101 and 106 that were still in service.

Surprisingly no short forms showing up on journey check, they probably have enough rolling stock to run the mostly complete timetable. When they’re all gone it will be short forms galore. I give it until November.

Perhaps they are assuming that the 720s will enter traffic next month?

Does anyone know if today’s movement to Cricklewood is actually happening?

Yeah I’ve seen - seems as if almost all the movements from Ilford around that time are in the same position.

If this move is the unit alone, it could still run.

If a loco was due to haul it though, it is very unlikely as all loco movements today have been cancelled.

I think it’s being hauled by the 47s - they ran to Ilford earlier today from Leicester I believe.

November has been mentioned - but a Southend driver I spoke to a couple of days ago, says there seems to be little chance of that happening as they keep 'breaking'.

The 720 introduction seems to be mirroring the 755 introduction at the Northern end of the patch a year ago. Older stock going off-lease before the new stock is ready. Do Bombardier simply not have enough resources to get the 720's in service until the 710's rollout is complete?

I wonder why they've started scheduling these moves at noon or the crack of dawn all the time now?
Engineering works as part of Crossrail I believe - there are blockades on the GEML every weekend but not sure how long for.

Oh ok, it's a bit of a pain for us trainspotters having to go out at the very end or very begginning of the day and getting mediocre low light shots because it's still dark. Sodding engineering works, eh? :D

With no engineering, the number of trains to spot would be zero.

Oddly enough I noticed today that the top speed label in the cab hasn’t been updated in the modified units - I’m guessing this will be changed once the units are refurbished?
