Looks like the weather will be good next week for Boxing day. To which I will be there for Day 1 and more than likely day 4. Day 4 I'll go to the test and then off to the Big Bash crosstown.

On the subject of the Big Bash that starts tommrow with the Sydney Smash.

I'm just glad it's on pay-TV in the middle of night - I can just pretend it isn't happening

You think the match will last four days?

An innings defeat from a decent position. Well done chaps. sigh.
Afraid that's what happens when we lack any really fast bowlers. Medium-fast pace is not good enough on most pitches in hot countries. Not even Mr. Anderson can perform miracles on Australian or Indian pitches.

Englands struggles this series continue. Australia currently on 102-0
The recovered a little bit.
Warner made a century after being caught off a no ball on 99. Fair to say the 88k crowd went wild when it went up on the big screen!

At stumps Australia are 3/244
Smith 65 Marsh 31.

A very nice day to boot:

Sat next to a nice couple from Birmingham and had a nice chat throughout the day.

A good mate of mine is in Melbourne for the match at the mo, he's off to Sydney for that one to. Apologies if I've said this before but another good mate of mine lives near St Kilda but his folks and sister live in Pakenham. First place I went to from the Airport was Pakenham in fact.

How much does it cost to get in? Think Tests in England START around £50, maybe more?

Cook's 244 not out is the highest ever Test score by any player carrying his bat. Just what the sdoctor ordered for him.
